    You could probably require that a SP has to remain on the 25 man for 4 games after their start or something. As for limiting pitching changes, I'm in favor of a pitcher having to face 3 batters (assuming no injury), or hit the end of the inning before they can be changed. Seeing innings where you have a pitching change every batter just plain sucks.

    Yeah, I don't agree with limiting shifts. It's up to the players to adapt to it and force teams not to do it.

    Worst job in baseball ... the grounds crew guy who has to push the big metal cylinder off the field in a thunder storm.

    The ump will be seeing a lot of balls floating towards the plate after that shot.

    I have him in LOD. He's probably a keeper there and may have some upside, but I have trouble believing he'll make the cut in any of the 20 player leagues. I'm not sure what the appeal is for this year since he's not getting much in the way of holds chances right now.

    I don't think that's a given. The single was hit hard, and Houston has some good arms out there.

    Hentgen and Halladay both still look fantastic. Halladay looks like he's put on a little weight, which is interesting because I believe it was digestion issue that forced him to retire and had caused him to look like a string bean last time he appeared at something like this.

Other guys could be available too if I get an interesting offer.

    If the Yankees are responsible for his contract, are they also responsible for any milestone payouts he may get if he does or would a new team if they pick him up?

    Unless Gonzalez said something really ugly there, no reason to throw him out. He was walking away and suffered two bad calls. Let him get in a few words and put it out of your mind.

    He's 3 months younger (seriously?), and xFIP disagrees even this year. Archer has a much better track record on top of that.

    I'd easily take Archer over Duffy. Mazara and Soler are probably a wash. I'm not sure if trading Stanton was in his best interests though.

    Regardless of whether it may or may not be allowed, personally I would probably say that benching players to try to intentionally lose should not be done. Playing players when you're ahead knowing they may cause you to lose some extra categories is probably fine, although it's nice when people try to manage their matchups to win. Let losses come from the personnel.

    They must feel Jose will only need the 14 days, or Carrera will be back in a few days or something. Only possible way that it would make some sense not to call Pompey up right now.
