  1. This is like all the people who wanted a playoff bound Raptors team to tank for a higher draft position (then complain that Toronto sports teams suck). If we were out of the race, then of course you try to trade him if he agrees. To do it with where we are in the standing would be beyond stupid.
  2. He's gotten a little lucky with the home runs, but he's also changed his approach at the plate. He's not pull happy any more, much like he was early in his career. That's a HUGE departure from the last few years.
  3. -1.7 is NOT defensive WAR
  4. Probably very little to nothing if we're willing to eat next year's salary for him.
  5. I assume they'd roll people through the DH, with Smoak losing some playing time and the other guys getting some rest as DH down the stretch. Having another "true" CF wouldn't be a bad thing either in case Pillar goes down.
  6. I have to think if it happens, Storen is going the other way to offset some of the salary.
  7. Sale could also be living on borrowed time in terms of TJS. I agree though, it's hard to argue Sanchez over Sale given track record. I wouldn't be comfortable adding a ton either though.
  8. Given that we have 6 sp (Hutch in the minors) and guys who could come in if needed in Chavez and probably Biagini, I'd rather just pick up a really good BP arm or two.
  9. I'll take Wander Javier. BB is up! My draft is over
  10. Sorry, I've been trying to sort out some internet issues. I'll take Gomber. Is Spanky picking for Chappy?
  11. Yeah, I like the idea of setting a 25 man before each game in September.
  12. Just force the pitcher to complete 3 PA or reach the end of an inning before they can be taken out (barring injury). That eliminates 3 or 4 pitching changes an inning (probably), but still protects the pitchers and allows some strategy.
  13. I was debating taking Bader instead of Jimenez, but those Jimenez numbers are just so juicy. Bader probably won't be a star, but he should be a solid regular who contributes in all categories imo.
  14. Skaggs having a second big start in a row (and likely his final rehab start). Last start was 1 hit in 7 innings with 14 k's. Today is 1 hit in 5.2 innings with 12 k's.
  15. To Abomination: Bickford + MiLB 58 To BTS: Napoli + 94 + 107
  16. He's 1B/OF (for the rest of this year)
  17. Thanks, I literally just got back lol. Figured my pick would have come up hours ago.
  18. King has my pick for 30 (assuming BB or Jays_Fever don't take him).
  19. Reaching a little is fine to make sure you get your guy (I probably reached on McKenzie). The 6th overall pick isn't one you want to use on a pure wildcard though.
  20. You're asking why it's a terrible decision to use the 6th overall pick on a guy drafted in the 32nd round of the most recent draft, based presumably on 74 PA in rookie ball? Even if he turns out to be a star player, it's still a terrible decision as you likely could have picked him up in the 5th or 6th round.
  21. I select Triston KcKenzie. BB is up!
  22. What the hell do you mean why? I'm not promoting him yet.
