Willing to take back injured guys. Mainly looking for prospects or projectable young players who haven't established themselves yet, any position.

    The Rays pitching in the second half have the 5th best xFIP, along with 9.86 K/9 as a staff. Looks like that's gonna improve more after today.

    Realistically I just have too many key injuries atm. They'll be healthy in a few weeks, but not in time to go on a big run that I would need.

    I'd like to upgrade at catcher for next year, so if you have a good one available let me know what it would cost. Since I'm missing the playoffs this year, Gomes, Oh, Fry, Peralta, and possibly McHugh are available. I'll listen on Borucki.

    Somewhere between 6 and 9 fWAR, depending on how bad his defense is. He could certainly end up blowing it out of the water though, and no one would be surprised.

    I agree with you on the confrontational aspect, although it feels like that hasn't been nearly as bad this year as it was the past few (and is really limited to a handful of umps). The strike zone has gotten dramatically better since pitchfx, although there's obviously still room for improvement. Other types of calls are probably the same as they've always been.

    It has absolutely been worse in the past, the increase in data and video availability just lets us see more of the bad calls today.

    Very clearly bounced. Hard call for the umps, but Teoscar was pointing to the mark on the ground lol. Hard to miss THAT.
