    The problem with the sinkerball is everyone is looking down in the zone. That's probably less the case in the minors, where pitchers have much less control. Typically, guys with great sinkers seem to throw them a lot, rather than changing speeds. I think that's why it has less effectiveness in the majors right now. That's also why you see teams all wanting their starters to start throwing 4-seam fastballs up. Batters with uppercuts can't do anything with them, and the last decade of the sinker being in vogue has produced a lot of batters like that.

    Well, the MLB average HR/9 rate this year is 1.44, so ... he's a sinkerballer who continues to suppress home runs?

    Unclear. you don't expect him to maintain a 36% K rate in combination with a high BABIP, which is making his season look better than it has been. The walks are encouraging though. Right now, he's basically our version of DJ Peters.

    Cousins with an arrest warrant put out for his arrest on domestic violence charges, apparently after threatening to kill the mother of his kid. If he's suspended, I wonder if that would only start to apply once he's medically cleared to play again? He and the Lakers are having a rough few months.

    Given that there's two groupings, it would make sense if one group was guys who will be rule 5 eligible, and one that's not.

    I would love an NFL franchise here. I do prefer the CFL game play, but the NFL talent more than makes up for the differences.

    There's a difference between legal liability and personal responsibility.

    Like Laika said, that's only assuming those seats would actually be bought. Rogers doesn't get money for the seats when they're empty, which, on average, they were even in 2016. This year, they could remove those seats while costing themselves essentially nothing, aside from maybe opening day. There's also the possibility that more comfort might cause a few more people to actually come to the game who otherwise wouldn't.
