    It'll be interesting to see how things change next year when MLB (probably) modifies the ball again to try to fix their mistake.

    These tack on runs allow them to pull Verlander now, rather than push him. That could really pay off later.

    I think I'd rather have a vet in that position who's well liked, like Sogard, then hand the super utility position over to Espinal at the trade deadline.

    Sogard has been a plus hitter in two of his last three years. I don't see the problem with bringing him back at a reasonable cost. I wouldn't expect the home run spike to be repeated, but I think he's perfectly acceptable as a bench bat.

    Signing Hech as the backup MIF could work out well. Alternatively, you could probably bring Sogard back. He seemed to like it here. Actually, even Asdrubal could be interesting in a super utility role. Giving each of the kids a DH day a week wouldn't be the worst thing in the world.

    I kinda feel like Teoscar might be traded. Fisher will probably be given CF to see if he sinks or swims.

    I have to admit, I wasn't expecting to see a pitcher's duel in this game. That probably means the LA game will be stupidly high scoring.

    Yeah. He doesn't look good at all so far.

    Yeah, I use baseball-reference for contracts. I don't think he would be available in a deal like that, but something like that would make me okay with taking on Price's full contract.

    I think I'd have to say no. Price would have to average like 4 WAR / year just to break even on that contract, and he's probably no longer that pitcher. Now if they attached someone like Benintendi to him, the answer would be different.
