  1. No I didn't. Don't listen to NJH...ever. I've met 3 people that have interned there, had online conversations with another and known about 15 that got to the interview stage. Yes I'd say those that I met were brilliant math minds.
  2. John Cunningham, eligible in the next draft, is one. He didn't even get a D1 offer though and is going to Lurleen B. Wallace community college.
  3. You just moved up past AA and the Braves.
  4. That is their intern position. All of their FO interns are paid.
  5. I'd be up for the combo draft. Will likely suck next year as there won't be too much playing time for prospects after the June draft. But after that it will be a lot of talent. However I'd like to add that this is benefiting the better teams as they are now in line for players that they'd have no shot at without trading up currently. There should be extra compensation for the last place teams should this go through.
  6. If Chapman is sleeping until the 7th...maybe everyone should consider napping right up until they have to pitch. My favourite quote there is: How dare he feel part of the team.
  7. I'll ban myself right after you complete a basic anatomy class.
  8. I just need him to start the season like he did last year...and 2012, 2010 and most of the years in his career. Then I need just one person to forget I posted this and not look it up. Honestly Milwaukee prefers to keep Will Smith in his "a little bit of everything" role and the rest of the pen looks to be pretty bad. With the exception of the guy that I'll likely pick with my one of my other picks.
  9. and I have 4 of the next 20 picks. I'll likely have a pretty good pen. If I can go 28-14 in saves and holds that allows me to be below .500 in OBP and my other weak stats. Not to mention the difference between Broxton and some of the best remaining relievers is pretty minimal in the rate stats considering the impact over so few innings. I try to view myself as an 8th place contender rather than the .500 team I likely am.
  10. a bottle of champagne is a Hurl family tradition on Oscar night (we stopped with the formal wear though)...and I'm the only drinker left in the family. So yeah I won't remember. I'm not too drunk to think that the DDL is a possibility though.
  11. best part for you is that I have zero chance of remembering this.
  12. I'll take your first right now. For my MiLB second rounder in 2016
  13. I was going to give him my full 12 hours to pick no matter what. Just as I did in the initial MiLB for people.
  14. I'll take Broxton...cause I'm a contender for middle of the pack.
  15. So they are Philly sports fans
  16. I think that's the right call. But i just wanted it stated in case anyone ever drops someone better than the Naq.
  17. I bet Hurl loves having 19 men play in his basement, oh wait... Anyway I drop Tyler Naquin in my trade with North. I have a quick question that shouldn't come into play anyway (in this case)...but is Naquin available in the waiver draft? Honestly the deal with North was done Friday night.
  18. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday that would be fine...but my Monday classes are internet free. One is a software class so we are on the school computers not our laptops. The second class we signed an agreement with the prof not to be on the net. So if I don't get to pick today I'll be sending my picks to Boxy.
  19. I make jokes but I'm pretty supportive of the homeless and try and understand mental illness as much as possible. I'm one of the guys that Pat Borders (above...likely not the opinion of the real Pat Borders) hates cause I give change and food often to homeless. I give them free coffee tabs and vouchers from Tims as well. When I was working I had a win at the off track and bought Subway gift cards for two of the regulars on Bay. and in a twist of irony I'm now a broke student.
  20. Wait a second, Tercet making a statement about someone he's not high on but doing so in logical non-definite way. Where is the guy that comes on making $1000 wagers that Sanchez will be working about McDonald's by the time he's 25? Is our little 6'10" 120 lbs. giant growing up? Miss your tirades actually. Hope poker is going well for you. I haven't played in a year outside of a small home game I play.
  21. If he was in tremendous pain in that 2012 season (which is very possible) he made the choice not to have surgery on the knees...instead he had PRP injections, he also continued pitch all season and his velocity really didn't drop (it was still higher than his 2010). I'm sure he's got pain and I don't believe that it's all mental. But he's always said he's healthy, at least until last season.
