After dealing with Drunk Spanky (it was Friday the 13th after all) last night and having him attempt to trade for an asset that I didn't own, for assets he didn't own. He got on the same page as me and made the deal I was discussing in this league. Stephen Moya and MiLB 46 for MiLB 29 and MiLB 95. I also dealt MiLB 86 for Joe Panik. My cut list will follow

I think I should be concerned about my trade with Spanky as he mentioned "his 23 man roster". He may have thought I had Moya in the FC not the DDL.

Miss America's done the entire WWE roster since her and Romero broke up. Romero's been with former Canadian National Soccer team star and fellow UCLA Alumni Kara Lang for a couple years now.

did you make up these numbers? I haven't seen anyone post yet. Edit saw the first line now. I'd expect some movement either in the actual numbers or lines involved. The Padres will get huge action at 84, just judging by what the casuals are saying about their off season. My top 5 overs 1. Rays 2. A's 3. Braves 4. Indians 5. Reds My top 5 unders 1. Padres 2. Arbitration is based more off history than true value. Donaldson is going into his first arbitration and even worse for him he's getting it a year early (known as a Super two). The part that is crap for hitters going in to their Super two hearing is that they can't compare to pitchers. In Donaldson's case if he wanted big money he'd be compared to the two biggest Super two award winners (Ryan Howard $10M and Miggy Cabrera $7.4M) and would for sure lose as his traditional numbers pale in comparison. It would be nice if every hitter could just walk in and say "Papelbon got $6.2M" as their entire argument. Just a quick memory of the Super two's in recent history, I'd guess that the Jays compared Donaldson to Carlos Quentin who got $3.2M. It's such an unfair argument as the run environment has changed since 2009 but there haven't been many successful players reaching Super two recently.

Only Super 2 to ever win big in arbitration.... Admittedly he wasn't really 50 lbs. more than Donaldson at the time...and had a 5 WAR season with his bat alone (although was still not the legit MVP) but he's still the only Super to ever get 8 digits and no one since has been close.

Honestly the only real reason to do a long term deal with him is if they are concerned about the relationship in year to year negotiations. He's already 29...I don't like betting on someone's age 34 season when you have 29 to 33 already under control. If he's getting big big bucks during his next 3 arb cases...it's really good for the team.

on the other side, you have to figure Donaldson is saying "what more do I have to do?". And the answer is obviously gain 50 pounds and be black.

Last year it would have been "Do you know if Santos, Delabar, Janssen all get hurt or fail it would be Cecil closing?" Relievers progress and fall apart every year. Get over it, the pen is on the cheap...but it's also the cheapest piece to pick up on the season. There will be about 50 relievers cut by March 15th. And yes before you post again, I am okay with others throw aways in my pen.
