  1. Thought there was one already, can't find it. 7IP 5H 1ER 3BB 6SO Though a decent line, I still think the walks are unacceptable. The guys in AAA are gonig to be swing at more crap than major leaguers, so who knows how wild he actually was.
  2. lol THat's what I don't want to see. Even OT forum here is pretty slow.
  3. Utley makes the most sense. I would like Lee, I've been asking for him last couple years, but I don't see us getting him. I don't think he'd cost as much as people think. A guy getting paid $25M per year isn't going to take a ton. Phillies need to blow their team up right now. Utley, Rollins, Howard, Lee, Young, Paplebon. Get some near MLB ready guys and build around Brown and Hamels. Another guy I could see is Jake Peavy. Since AA tried to get him recently (if true), I'm sure he'll try to get him again, and him and Williams have a pretty good relationship. But I don't know if we're going to need much pitching help come deadline.
  4. Being in Canada isn't safe. Not sure of the exact rules, but only way to avoid it would be to do crazy s*** like the torrent sites do. I think it's not just the hosting, but also where you registered the domain. I think that's why torrent sites register the name with an offshore registrar and host it with off shore hosting.
  5. BA emailed me to remove an article. No big deal.
  6. If someone wants to do regular updates. I think it would be too slow without updates.
  7. Must be an awesome experience to have guys like Reyes come through on rehab. A lot of those guys, that's as high as level as they're going to get.
  8. That's what I'm thinking too. I hope not, but I just have a feeling. They are totally different pitchers, so maybe not.
  9. Yeah I agree. We could go from a bare rotation, to too many arms.
  10. Tough call. I can't see them not giving Romero another chance. Can he stay up, who knows. I can see JJ hitting the DL again. Wouldn't surprise me to see Rogers fall off. Everything from here on out is a bonus. Wang has only made two starts, who knows what he does over the next five starts.
  11. I don't have it, I just meant in general. I remember doing last years lists and 1-10 there was so much talent, even leaking up to 15. Much quicker drop off now.
  12. For those that missed it, we are doing a mid season top prospect list, and it's stickied at the top of the forum: http://www.bluejaysmessageboard.com/threads/565-Forum-2013-Toronto-Blue-Jays-Midseason-Top-Prospects-List I'm going to close it after the weekend. I think that should give enough time for everyone that wants to do it, to finish it. We have a couple dozen who have finished so far. So odd looking at these lists compared to last years lists, and the options we had last year, to this year.
  13. You can see a lot from that angle. You can also tell by how much the catcher is moving his glove. But you can also tell by the types of swings the batters are taking, and simply if they are getting hits or not. I do find it funny/strange when a pitch is a inch or two off the plate, they dont' get the call, and they start giving it to the ump. I don't know if they do this based on catchers reaction or what.
  14. Give it a couple days. Personally, I have Osuna over Sanchez, sss, I don't care.
  15. http://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/tracking-r-a-dickeys-knuckleball/ Pretty good article. The gifs with the velocity difference are pretty cool. The only thing I don't like about it, is it's obviously a small sample size. ie how often are they like that at these different speeds? However, I think it hits on a point I mentioned earlier in the year. With the decrease in velocity, it appears to be more wild. With the higher velocity it still has very good sporadic movement, but not as wide of a range. I think that is why Dickey is on pace to double his walk rate from last year.
  16. I can't add it now for some reason. The main thing is we're trying to get the top 30, as even after 15-20 it's a crapshoot. Last year it was much easier to get up to 20 or 30, not so much now. It's going to mess the rankings up a bit, but if you wanted a guy not on the list in the top 30, just post in this thread and I'll give the prospect the credit when I add it all up.
  17. Thanks all, I created the midseason top prospect thread. Please go submit yours!
  18. Had to! Thanks. Caught a few of them, of course I miss the one sitting right at the top lol.
  19. Not sure who locked it, but I'm closing this one. It'll probably be a good idea to start a new one soon anyways, maybe when it reaches 100 pages.
  20. We are going to create a forum top 30 prospect list. Below is a ranking poll that you can drag and drop each player to your desired ranking. Please do atleast 10, but you can rank as high as you want. Please take your time with the list, and only rank players you are familiar with. I'm sure everyone here wants this to be a quality list, so please put the effort in. I've included recent drafted players, if they don't sign, we'll simply remove them at the end. So assume drafted players are signed for now. If there is a name not on the list you would like in your top 30, please post the name and position in this thread. I will add in addon names at the end. Same names left off the list are Goins, Sweeney, Opitz, Mooney, Berti, Cole, Lawrence, Brisker, Leblibijian, Thon, Chino Vega, Biggs and Arce.
