  1. SSS yes, but both these guys have had great numbers in AAA. Yet they sit down there while AA gets his flavor of the week, throws them in close games, they bomb, and he gets rid of them. I'm sure Perez will have some control problems with 4.5 BB/9, but man, he has some filthy stuff, and was on today.
  2. Fatcox, what about posting our players numbers vs the pitcher? Would be good for the HR contest too.
  3. I'm not looking up the numbers right now but if I recall, he did have a lot of barely made its. But when you lead the league in HRs, there's a good chance it will happen. We need to define "raw". - Guy with ugly swing that tries to kill it? - Guy who crushes it? - Guy who can crush it, but hasn't put it together? - etc Chris Davis immediately came to mind for me. Guy who could just crush it last few years, but couldn't hit the breaking ball (think that was it). The power's there, he just didn't figure things out. Then I look at a guy like Prince Fielder. Just a big beast. That can be another definition of 'raw' power.
  4. Same s*** Farrell did last year. How f***ing dumb do you have to be.
  5. I'd like to see him get some chances vs lefties, even a short leash.
  6. Ah, nice. I dont' think I'll kick it though.
  7. What happened? I seen the HR, but that doesn't show much.
  8. Suggestion, not sure if you do it, but if you could link to highlights, that would be sweet.
  9. In Lawrie's defense, even though I said he needs to shut his mouth, the guy is just a passionate guy. It was interesting to see his reaction when Kawasaki won it. I was curious if he was going to still be a baby and pissed off... but he was the first guy out of the dug out, a mad man like always. The guy wants to win, period. Yes he needs to control his emotions, but the guy has a lot of passion.
  10. You can only use the "he is young" excuse so many times. Sometimes you have to take responsiblity for your actions and understand you can't do whatever you want, whenever you want.
  11. That was awesome. That's the kind of thing that can get a good team going.
  12. I'd so be winning if I played every game!
  13. I dunno, I could see Gibbons taking no s***. But same time he's a players manager, so I can see him being "we're cool bro".
  14. Hope he sits next game.
  15. Great AB there. AFter that first swing I thought we were screwed.
  16. Shut your f***ing mouth Lawrie. Take responsibility for your s***** hitting. You hit a shallow fly ball to one of the best arms in the league, with one of the slowest runners in the league on 3B.
  17. I think that's exactly what it is. Everytime he worked with CM he would come back trying to use the whole field. And that's when he's at his best.
  18. I said at the beginning of the year I thought CM would turn him around. That being said, a few weeks in I just about had enough of him.
  19. We won't sell. AA won't admit defeat. He'll ride this out.
  20. Yeah he pretty much said it. Funny thing is, I think it was after a game he gave up four runs. Was against this trade from the beginning, and most people told us to shut up and be happy we're contenders. Bet they changed that tune now. We gave up, what we should have sent to get Latos. That would look much better in our rotation for the next few years.
  21. Was a weak stop sign because he didn't even consider the thought of Gose going lol. Several things happened in that play that could have made that play go either way. - Gose rounding third hesitated, I don't know if he was going to stop, but seen the trejectory of the ball and thought it was going to bounce/bobble, but it looks like he was gonna stop, then decided to go. - The fielder double pumps. Probably would have been out easily if he didn't, or if the throw was on. - Gose stumbles/hesitates as he's about to slide. Not sure if he was deciding how he was going to slide, or the high through surprised him or what.
