How most teams win. Homeruns are #1 when it comes to scoring runs. 

You can hit 3 singles in a row and not score, but a homer is a guaranteed 1 run.

We made it so far in the playoffs last year not because we hit a bunch of singles/doubles…. It was because Vlad/Springer/Kirk/Gimenez etc. hit a bunch of homers.

Hell, you could hit 5 singles in a row and not score. 

Single, single to RF with lead runner thrown out at 3rd and batter still at 1b, single to RF with lead runner thrown out at third again and batter stays at 1b, single, single. 

Bases loaded, 2 outs, 5 singles in a row, no runs. Vlad pops out to 3rd. 

That would be the single most 2026 Blue Jay inning i can imagine

This was still a bit of an unlucky outing for Hoffman as he had to produce 4 outs due to the fielding error.
