JaysFan99 Verified Member Posted June 9 Posted June 9 We really need our starters to step up and eat some innings. The bullpen arms are going to burn out quickly (although SWR did a fantastic job yesterday to save some arms). Hope Cease can go at least 6 today, although 7 would be a welcome surprise.

Even Hoffman. Varland, Hoffman, Fisher, Flu. Yikes. G-Snarls 1

JS hasn't had much choice in all these close games and had to use them this much to keep the team even where it is now You just hope for some help from Cease/Bieber/Gausman to take the load off of these guys the rest of the way

Traditionally Cease hasn't been one to go deep into games. Bieber won't be healthy enough to. Gausman might spin up some long outings. Just need the offense to wake up so there are some comfortable wins, for once. G-Snarls 1

I suppose that's exactly right And figure out who among the rest of the BP is trustworthy enough Yariel R in his current form was apparently not
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted June 9 Posted June 9 Facing another ace Need at least the A- offense to show up today
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted June 9 Posted June 9 MLB needs to investigate the Phillies. Completely unfair that we have to face their three aces while dodging their two gas cans. Rynodb1 and G-Snarls 2

Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted June 9 Posted June 9 What a treat for the Toronto crowd to watch a future Hall of Famer in Zach Wheeler pitch tonight. Probably the most underrated pitcher of the last decade. Buster 1
Smokinitup420 Verified Member Posted June 9 Posted June 9 Vladdy batting lead off, can’t make this s*** up lol

He's been one of the most dominant pitchers for years but 2nd or 3rd best doesn't get the accolades (Arguably should have won a Cy Young a few years ago).
DownSouthBlueJay Verified Member Posted June 9 Posted June 9 Vladdy leading off.I guess you can’t move your 500 mill guy lower in the line-up.At least springer is on the pine today

glory Old-Timey Member Posted June 9 Posted June 9 If Vlad wants to be Vladimir Arraez Jr, then batting him lead off is fine. Jays24, G-Snarls, Horses Fart and 1 other 1 3

Usually guys with throwing issues can still swing a bat so really curious that its more serious than being led on. Hope that throw doesnt derail his career like it did with Bautista. Stangstag 1

All those Arraez jokes i made where I took all that flack from folks here is coming full circle. Although Arraez might offense to the comparisons now... hes having a better season thus far lol.
hanton Old-Timey Member Posted June 9 Posted June 9 I like the fact they're willing to experiment, lead him off - different perspective, a way to clear his mind from the 3 slot and a good way to do it without giving him a day off which we know won't work Rynodb1 1

dancingmachine Verified Member Posted June 9 Posted June 9 Vlad leading off lol Mall Santa has lost his mind
gruber9292 Verified Member Posted June 9 Posted June 9 Hey JS if you want to shake Vladdy up, bench his ass for a few games. Pissing him off will do better..
