Governator Community Moderator Posted June 8 Posted June 8 If we think Varland is a Cinderella story, see Sanchez' last 50 innings. This should be... fun. Stangstag 1
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted June 8 Posted June 8 This team eats aces for breakfast. Should be an easy 5-3 win. Rynodb1, Terminator and G-Snarls 1 1 1
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted June 8 Posted June 8 I think this is what the Jays are going to do: Corbin vs. Sanchez Cease vs. Wheeler Scherzer vs. Luzardo

Vs: • Sandy Alcantara: 10 H, 8 ER, 3 HR • Paul Skenes: 9 H, 4 ER in 5 IP • Kyle Bradish on June 6: 9 H, 5 ER in 4 IP • Chris Sale: 10 H, 3 ER in 5.2 IP • Shane Baz: 5 runs
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted June 8 Posted June 8 I am terrified when we face soft tossing lefties. Ace’s don’t even phase me G-Snarls and Rynodb1 2
Rynodb1 Verified Member Posted June 8 Posted June 8 I agree with everybody here. I almost look forward to facing tough pitching. These guys show up with the right approach for these games.
Omar Old-Timey Member Posted June 8 Posted June 8 Starting this week the band gets back together. Watch out AL East.
Jays24 Old-Timey Member Posted June 8 Posted June 8 Poor Yariel. That contract was brutal but luckily Rogers is swinging their big dick for now lol.
DownSouthBlueJay Verified Member Posted June 8 Posted June 8 Valenzuela tearing the cover off the ball right now. JS : He needs a day off. Acemeister79 1
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted June 8 Posted June 8 I think because Yariel was DFA'd before that he can now elect FA. So we will be eating about 15 mil over 2.5 years on that one. EDIT: This is fake news. He could elect FA but he'd also forfeit his salary. He's going to Buffalo.
Laika Community Moderator Posted June 8 Posted June 8 sucks to see the Phillies and somehow miss Nola and Painter, who both suck.

The return of Nance is honestly a sight for sore eyes in the middle of the bullpen. Whenever Varland and Rogers are unavailable every 3 days (since they pitch every game), we've been throwing out some serious scrubs to cover those innings. Nance isn't pushing for stealing the closer role but having a decent middle reliever back never hurts. Hopefully we can add Yimi Garcia to the mix before long and our bullpen depth will be truly tremendous. Terminator and max silver 2
Laika Community Moderator Posted June 8 Posted June 8 Some good news on a lot of injury front: Kirk will play 3 games in Buff and could be back Friday. Yimi rehab in Buff in two days. Bieber starts in Buff in Thursday and could be in MLB after that. Orgfiller 1
Laika Community Moderator Posted June 8 Posted June 8 So Cease and Scherzer are starting tomorrow and the next day. Miles is a reliever now. Probably a 2+ inning RP behind Corbin or Scherzer? Orgfiller 1

Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted June 8 Posted June 8 It was reported that Bieber could be ready after one more start in AAA. Scherzer will be on a short leash.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted June 8 Posted June 8 At this point I hope they give Bieber as much time as he needs. Let him come back when he's ready to go full send. Atleast 90 pitches. I am not really excited about Max returning to the rotation at all considering how bad he looked. Like is he coming back and getting his strikeout and calling it out a career or. I would rather do the opener and Miles length. Stangstag 1

But he's also a FA entering the year so if we need to ride him a little bit I don't mind. Just need him to get through the season. But ideally Max is good by the time Bieber comes back and everyone is healthy and we could go with a 6-man rotation for a little bit and play some IL games.

Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted June 8 Posted June 8 Oh god Schwarber is about to step in the box. How far is he taking Corbin deep? I am saying 440

Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted June 8 Posted June 8 I don't think Harper touched 1st base when he rounded. I think that's why he went back.
