How much did the Jays make from deep playoff run? It's very confusing

People were lining up for hours outside the Jays Shop purchasing ALDS, ALCS and World Series caps, t-shirts etc. maxing out their credit cards and going all crazy. People can really be 🐑

People are sheep cause they want to purchase gear of their favourite team?

I’m not saying supporting your team makes you a sheep. I’m talking about the mob mentality of lining up for hours and maxing out credit cards for merch the moment it drops. Big difference. When people are lining up for hours in the middle of the week, it’s fair to question how that’s practical for most working adults.

To be clear: fans ≠ sheep. Herd behaviour around spending absolutely is.

People - "groceries are too expensive - we can't live like this - the Country is unrecognizable - I blame the government"

Also people - "4 new authentic Blue Jay jerseys, 8 new hats, 2 toques, 4 foam fingers and a new keychain please - I must have all those new merch!  Did you see - there's a WS patch on it - ooooohhhhllllaaaalllaaaaa"

I saw a report today that Frozen juice from concentrate was being discontinued in Canada as no one buys it anymore.  I think part of that is due to not as much juice being bought as there used to be, but a far bigger part is that people now go fresh squeezed instead so much more often now.  When I was a kid, we slummed it with minisips and juice from concentrate.

I was going to buy a cap with a WS patch, but only if they won.  Now I'd rather not remember that WS.

I'm contemplating buying some WBC merch haha. Those Canada caps look nice.

I just look them up.  The hats look solid.  The jersey looks awful IMO.
