Wilson really doesn't trust his relievers. This certainly burns Gilbert for a couple of days. Kirby would be slated for G3 so their best pitcher in Gilbert probably only gets one start in a possible ALCS appearance.

Seattle is sucking mostly. But they have the better starters (overall), bullpen, hitters, power, defense. I mean the Tigers have the best pitcher in the series. And that's a big reason why we are here.

He's so much better than Bazardo that it has to be concern that his arm was going to fall off. I think you kind of risk it in a situation like this though.
