GoBlue41 Verified Member Posted September 12, 2025 Posted September 12, 2025 Spent the trade deadline worrying about finally getting a #1 starter but he may have already been on the roster the whole time! Gausman has been lights out. You can tell from his interview afterwards that he is just a really good guy who is a total team player. Go Jays!! Pinkfloid and G-Snarls 2

He's as good as anyone in the league when he's not tipping pitches. You can usually tell by the end of the first inning whether he's going to have a good day or not.

G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted September 12, 2025 Posted September 12, 2025 And the numbers will be more skewed after 9 scoreless innings thrown to Heineman today. If we think it means anything.

jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted September 12, 2025 Posted September 12, 2025 Gausman peaking at the right time. Pitching like an ace right now. If the Postseason started today, he's got to be your Game #1 starter right? Unless Bieber shakes off some rust over the next couple of outings, would roll with Gausman.

He's definitely changed the narrative. Along with the fact that Bieber has been okay, but a notch below Gausman right now. Things could still change. You hope the two of them make it tough to pick. jaysblue 1

I'm not sure how to get the stats from just 95+ pitches, but here is his line against 4 seamers only. It's the batting average itself that was said to be amongst the top 5.
