It's weird after watching Doc all those years to feel like a complete game is a unicorn but that's how the game is now. Gausman was fantastic. If he's back to 2022-23 form then he's your ace.

I think that's a 91 game score which would be 4th best in 2025

Skubal, Wheeler, and Sonny Gray all have complete games 1 or 2 hits and and 11+ Ks

The Guardians sold at the deadline and lost Clase to a gambling investigation, while the Rangers stood pat and shutdown Eovaldi just a couple weeks ago. Both seemed dead in the water, now both within striking range.  Way too many teams gave up too early in an uncharacteristically weak AL.

It's an awfully good feeling when you've already won your game in convincing fashion and then get to sit back and see what happens to the teams trying to chase you.

Im not sure why. Its more important to keep Gausman fresh and healthy vs a personal achievement of “complete game”

I'm cool if he's a part time player but receiving 4-5 starts a week vs 1-2.
