He waits til the last second almost everytime it’s annoying as hell , especially when he just ends up walking them, I’ve just never been a bassitt fan 🤷🏻‍♀️

Again, similar to the Varsho situation this could look a lot more favorable in a couple years. Not really fair to judge a trade like this with multiple years in the first season.

Bassitt has lost the velo on his fastball that made every other pitch play up. He can still get by as a backend starter due to the sheer number of pitches he has and keep guys a little off balance...but his bad days are gonna be more often than the good at this point.

I get that, but when you wait until the last second every single pitch you ain’t fooling no one, mix it up a little, be quicker and put them off balance, every batter knows bassitt is gonna wait

Ya I dont have a problem with him as a player who bats 8/9 because he does everything else aside from hitting at an elite level.  I have a problem with that contract when he starts earning 20M/season though.

I think next inning we get to Gil. It's too bad bottom of the order is a bit ugly today, really disagree with not having Kirk in today.

Im hoping the plan is to move him to SS and sign/trade a big bat at 3B/2B

His swing passes my eye test - FWIW.  So never know what Popkins can do with him plus he's hit before.

I don't think hes really trying to fool them. Its just that batters have to be set at 8 seconds, so he forces them to stand set for 8 seconds which is probably frustrating. But I do agree, its not the most pleasant to watch, especially when you see Bieber work.

Really hope Bo can comeback here as the 2B going forward.  Gimenez is too athletic/great of a defender to only be used as a 2B.  Need to use him at SS to truly maximize his value.  

I wanted this swap done before the season started but understood how you couldnt really do that with Bo entering his contract year.

Bo's problem is not so much his arm though, but his lack of mobility, which would still be an issue at 2b. I think he'd be decent at third base.

Disagree, Bo's arm wont play at 3B even if it makes sense for his lack of mobility.  

Theres enough 2nd baseman around baseball who are as slow as him.
