I have been calling for the ability to forfeit games for years. People keep giving me s*** about it but we're seeing more and more of this type of stuff. It is a farce and there's no reason for it to continue.

I don't really like the idea of forfeit especially for the fans who have paid and for the obvious advertising for broadcast games; however i think you should only be allowed to do it for 8th inning or later.  If you can't field a pitcher then do better.

Now you're getting into the territory of forcing already overused bullpens to have to pitch more innings. 

The game is different now, bullpens are used extensively guys are throwing harder, the rules of the game have to change. Mercy rules have existed in baseball at various levels and various tournaments. It's nothing new. The whole fans paid for the game stuff is irrelevant because most fans don't really care once the game gets to this point.

Maybe don't allow it until at least the end of the 7th, but teams should have the right at that point to say, we're beat, see you tomorrow.

Feel like they should have a rule that in a circumstance that a bullpen has been overworked and more than 3 relievers have worked back to back games. You can temporarily expand the roster.

Now you're giving teams an advantage for the fact that they suck and possibly mismanage their own bullpen. Some sort of mercy or forfeit rule is coming at some point that's where this is all headed. I don't see how people don't see this.
