The xBA in this game is .316 for the Cubs and .146 for us. Not sure what game you’re watching. The Cubs have been drilling line drives all game long.

Things like a HR just squeaking by the foul pole aren't really accounted for. I was just making an observation, not a statistical analysis.

A SS with decent speed makes that play.  Hope his lack of speed/range/arm doesnt kill the Jays in the playoffs.

I bet 90% of SS make that play,,that's as routine as it gets. Any ball to Bo's right he really struggles on. His arm strength is bad and he is super slow footwork wise getting the ball out of the glove.

I don't think I've ever seen someone go airborne like that after stepping on a base. Hopefully he'll be okay.

Happened to Harper once, almost exact same

It’s not like the Cubs haven’t had their share of warning track flyouts. Our offense has had a couple of those but definitely not hitting the ball nearly as hard.

Reese McGuire should be able to pound out some more playing time due to that injury.

Hopefully Counsell doesn't stiff him on playing time.

Grant you are wrong. Anyone with eyes can see that Gausman was lucky to only give up 2 runs tonight.

A weak grounder squeaks through the infield for an RBI after a missed call. I just perceive that as lucky, no big deal.

I'm not going to get into a pissing match over whether you classify a hit as lucky or not. The fact that you think someone can be right or wrong about such a thing is idiotic. You are welcome to your own opinion.

I'm glad someone got that! Too many wankers around here.

Cant win em all I guess.  Sucks because this was very winnable.  This could be a 2-2 game if Bo had any speed.

no body can win with only 2 hits. offense sucks

Only you are allowed to define what is lucky or not. Go to a casino, friend.

xBA doesn't have a whole lot of utility for a part of a single game. People should just bow to your supreme wisdom, Tyche.
