Masterbather Verified Member Posted July 6, 2025 Posted July 6, 2025 Anderson looks like a reverse splits type of guy. I guess he's not given all the righties. Either way, this team seems to do better against straight heat guys as opposed to these crafty guys.

Hes not really all that crafty, the split is just really good and he has that hitch in his delivery to mess up timing even more. It works though

I think this was the unfortunate outcome of activating Burr from the 60 day IL. But I always find it strange when teams designate players like Robertson over lesser performing prospects that might have a bit more name value. It’s like most teams can’t accept free money.
PickleJ Verified Member Posted July 6, 2025 Posted July 6, 2025 I’m late to the game, but I like sliding Bichette down in the order. Clement and Lukes won’t strike fear in anyone, but if used appropriately will actually get on base more than Bichette. Plus, moving Bichette down lengthens the middle portion of the line up that can drive the ball.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2025 Posted July 6, 2025 Gausman picked him up. Time for runs. Jays need to remember Tyler Anderdon is pitching.

Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2025 Posted July 6, 2025 Bichette hates that HR jacket lol PickleJ 1

They're not as good against lefties that are able to keep the ball away from them. They mash the ball when it comes into them. I expected this to be a tough offensive day.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2025 Posted July 6, 2025 Couple bombs if they were playing in an elevator shaft

There is no room for a player like me anymore that prefers to return to the dugout after a home run and bask silently in the feeling catching one square. Everyone has to do a little dance, not that I’m against those players. I enjoy them and want their energy on the team, but it does seem hard to opt out of such things if such things aren’t your thing.

Yeah I f***ing hate home run celebrations but it's part of the game now unfortunately.
Masterbather Verified Member Posted July 6, 2025 Posted July 6, 2025 If there's two people I didn't expect to combine for a run with two outs and nobody on, it was those two lol. PickleJ 1
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2025 Posted July 6, 2025 Nice hit. But had to follow it up with idiot base running

Obviously when you’re losing it’s cringe. But sometimes you just gotta suck it up and be a team player.

You take it though.. Just can’t run into outs. And now you have Jiminez leading off next inning which is not ideal.

And I’m vehemently opposed to most old school baseball rules, but I do chuckle when I watch old footage of teams from the past celebrating big moments,, especially from regular season games. They look almost sad in comparison.

I don’t mind them. I just feel the need to advocate for the needs of the uncoordinated introverts like myself out there.
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2025 Posted July 6, 2025 Did anyone else spot Kirk swapping the new ball out for the old one after that foul to the backstop? :)

Hard to believe, but taking on Straw to get international bonus pool money might have been one of Atkins better off-season moves..

Was he in a double cut position or did he just wander of toward foul territory?
