From Springer's point of view he would probably say he saw the second runner trying to score so he thought he would draw the throw to third to make sure the second run scores.

Disagree... we had a speedster on 2B who was scoring with no issues.  We have our cleanup hitter in Kirk who was coming up next. 

Being aggressive is great but you just gotta do it smartly. If the ball was hit to CF or RF then sure but you rarely ever see a player go to 3rd on a ball to LF for a reason.  

Anyways, we still got 4 so it was a great inning.

I agree. The base hit was a bullet to left and caused the left fielder to field it while moving to his right which should have been all Springer needed to see in convincing himself the runner from second is scoring. No need to be aggressive in that situation.

Sounds like he was not available tonight. Scherzer going 6 would have changed this game, but unfortunately they had to piece together 4 innings with only 3 good relief options (Fisher, Little, Hoffman).
