gruber9292 Verified Member Posted June 14, 2025 Posted June 14, 2025 I hope we don't see Francis make another start. Man he's hot garbage. Get him out of there.
Doubleplay21 Verified Member Posted June 14, 2025 Posted June 14, 2025 Francis sent to Buffalo after that meltdown
neverbeenhere Verified Member Posted June 14, 2025 Posted June 14, 2025 Little in a bases loaded situation?
gruber9292 Verified Member Posted June 14, 2025 Posted June 14, 2025 Francis needs to be demoted to Buffalo where he can hopefully figure it out.

Masterbather Verified Member Posted June 14, 2025 Posted June 14, 2025 Great play! Little is NOT the guy to put into a basees loaded situation. His command is 50/50 to begin with but he spikes a curveball or two every single at bat, even if he's intending to do it it's risky with a runner on third.
jaysthebest Verified Member Posted June 14, 2025 Posted June 14, 2025 Francis is a hot garbage. He is the worst starter in the league.
glory Old-Timey Member Posted June 14, 2025 Posted June 14, 2025 9 starts in 2024 gave Francis over two months of rope to be the worst SP in baseball. That’s insane when you think about it. This team didn’t even want to play Davis Schneider when he hit like Barry Bonds for 2 months but 9 starts from Francis and he’s suddenly an established starter. I know options are limited but it would be hard for someone like Easton Lucas to be as bad as Francis, much less worse. Stangstag 1
neverbeenhere Verified Member Posted June 14, 2025 Posted June 14, 2025 Clase should not be in the lineup even against a lefty pitcher

Jays24 Old-Timey Member Posted June 14, 2025 Posted June 14, 2025 Bo did a very crappy job of trying to stretch that out... easily the worst baserunner on the team.
HomeRunHomer Verified Member Posted June 14, 2025 Posted June 14, 2025 Not sure they can overturn this.
HomeRunHomer Verified Member Posted June 14, 2025 Posted June 14, 2025 And Vlad brings Bo home!! Let's go!!
gruber9292 Verified Member Posted June 14, 2025 Posted June 14, 2025 Omg, Bo made that play at home closer than it should have been.

Yep.. His overall game is an easy pass regarding an extension. Imo, he should be traded before the deadline even if we're in a playoff position. No sense in getting nothing for him after he leaves as he's not really a game changer right now anyway. We can buy and sell at the deadline, just like plenty of teams have before.

I would still love to bring him back at 2B longterm so his extension would have to reflect that but not sure his ego takes a position change on this team, we shall see...

His body is morphing into a non middle infielder unfortunately. He could make a go of it at third base though.

Hes gotten a lot better from when he started but just doesnt have the speed/agility/range to be good enough at SS long-term.
hanton Old-Timey Member Posted June 14, 2025 Posted June 14, 2025 2024 Bowden Francis mixed in his sinker from time to time with a good FB and Splitter, he also had good vertical separation between his FB and Splitter. 2025 Francis isn't using his sinker at all and the separation on his FB/Splitter isn't as good. He is not fooling batters like he did last season and he doesn't have the FB that Gausman does so he can't rely on that.
hanton Old-Timey Member Posted June 14, 2025 Posted June 14, 2025 Maybe give Y-rod a shot at starting
