Unserious organization

We don't need another serious organization in our division.  This is what teams probably said about us from 2022 - Present Day lol

Didn't you want the Jays to sign Charlie Morton? lol.

I know the Orioles need to aim higher than Morton, but he's still a solid signing at that price.

Hopefully that takes them out as suitors for Flaherty.

I think I've made one post about Morton this offseason, and it was in the context of him being one of like 8 free agents I prefer to trading for Jordan Montgomery.

I thought you were the poster carrying on about how the best rotation option the Blue Jays could possibly sign was Morton and that they'd be forced to settle for scraps.

Yeah out of all the names BTS posted, I said maybe Morton could be a possibility given his age, price tag and only requiring a one-year deal. The Jays have no chance at signing any of the other guys mentioned, so they'll either likely have to trade for an arm (Montgomery or Matz) or sign another vet to a one-year deal like Jose Quintana, or Martin Perez or Cal Quantrill.

Ideally, Flaherty would be a perfect fit here. Since the O's signed Morton, that means one less suitor for Flaherty, hopefully.

So you lose out on Burns and sign an old geezer who's arm could fall off at any point. O's gonna O.

Rumor has it the O's are in discussions with Seattle to acquire Castillo.

Might be another middling move. His velo down a bit, possible he is an SP3 or so going forward. Remaining contract:

2025 32 Seattle Mariners $24,150,000 7.101
2026 33 Seattle Mariners $24,150,000
2027 34 Seattle Mariners $24,150,000
2028 35 Seattle Mariners *$25,000,000   $25M Vesting Option option dependent on time injured between 2025 and 2027 and 2027 I
