52 days until Spring Training! #52 has been worn by fourteen Blue Jays over the years, including closer BJ Ryan

BJRyan_2008_001.jpg

Damn his 2006 season was so dominant! Coming out of the pen to Slipknot's Duality was some of the best closers entrance music!

He came back in 2008 and had a respectful season, but never looked like his dominant self. Then in 2009 at the age of 33, was toast.

51 days until Spring Training! #51 has been worn by eighteen Blue Jays in franchise history, the most tenured being former Rays batboy and Jays starter.....Jesse Litsch!

Jesse Litsch was a cool guy. Easy to root for and had solid years in 2007 and 2008 on the mound.

When I was in Philly for the Jays/Phillies home series in 2010, stayed at the same hotel as the Jays. At the bar after the Friday night game, Litsch was at the hotel bar and actually came to talk with us for like 10-15 mins. He was saying how he was good buddies with Ryan Howard and saying you should see house haha. But otherwise, great with fans and likeable guy!

49 days until Spring Training! #49 is another popular number, worn by nineteen Blue Jays over the years, the most tenured being righty Jeremy Accardo.

Coming out of the pen to "Bullet with a Name" by Nonpoint blasting on the Rogers Centre speakers!

Accardo did a very formidable job taking over the closers role in 2007 when BJ Ryan went down for the entire year! Sucks Accardo the following seasons was awful.

48 days until Spring Training! #48 has been a very popular number, worn by 25 Blue Jays over the years. I'm going with the most tenured who happens to also be Canadian - it's Paul Quantrill!

We had an ugly run of jerseys for a couple of decades.  Why they switched from the originals is beyond me.

Early candidate for POTY.  This is so true.  Those last 2 pictures make my eyes bleed.

I think the 2003 "T" logo was the worst. Followed by the 1997 and 2004 logos. They should have stuck with the 2012. That was the best version IMO.

To be fair, the uniforms have essentially been the same from 2012 to now and use the "2019-Present" logo.  I'm not sure why this illustration suggests a difference between 2012-2019 and 2019-Present.  The Jays still use the 2012-2019 logo - it was on the front of the Springer hockey jersey's last year.

Either way - the revamp in 2012 was amazing and much needed.  I think the Jays rock some of the best threads in MLB.  Everything we did from 1997-2011 was horrendous.

47 days until Spring Training! #47 is another popular number, having been worn by nineteen different Blue Jays, none for any great length of time. Lots of decent options here, but I'm going with veteran righty Jack Morris!

The 2004-2011 Jays was ugly. Especially the road and black jerseys.

The T-Bird only lasted for one season lol.

46 days until Spring Training! As of now, #46 is the most commonly used number in Blue Jays franchise history! 28 different players have worn the number and there were seven different seasons where #46 was worn by two different players. Lots of options here, none with much tenure. I'm going with the one who had a very interesting career post Blue Jays, slugger Eric Thames

45 days until Spring Training! #45 is another popular number in Blue Jays history, and there are lots of good players among those who have worn it. I'm going with a hitter who is one of the most hyped prospects in team history - Travis Snider!

44 days until Spring Training! #44 has been worn by twenty Blue Jays in team history, including a few notable names. I have chosen one of the biggest name players to ever suit up for Toronto, albeit just one season - Jose Canseco!

Was really excited when the Jays brought him back in 2004 after he was coming off a solid bounce back year with the Orioles. Sad to see the way his 2004 season went with the Jays but oh well.
