L54 Old-Timey Member Posted October 20, 2024 Posted October 20, 2024 Stanton 8 for 40 at Progressive Field in the post season all time 8 home runs
glory Old-Timey Member Posted October 20, 2024 Posted October 20, 2024 Pitching to a red hot Stanton with 1st base open and Jazz on deck was certainly a decision.

thatoneguy Old-Timey Member Posted October 20, 2024 Posted October 20, 2024 Ice cold and replacement level when he's off, but there is no deadlier player in MLB than Giancarlo Stanton when he's on a roll.
Omar Old-Timey Member Posted October 20, 2024 Posted October 20, 2024 Cousins full money for the Yanks.
hanton Old-Timey Member Posted October 20, 2024 Posted October 20, 2024 Notice how Stanton didn't flinch on that up and in 100 FB, he is locked in
Omar Old-Timey Member Posted October 20, 2024 Posted October 20, 2024 Wow, is this guy going to get paid or what?
hanton Old-Timey Member Posted October 20, 2024 Posted October 20, 2024 Gaddis had him, should have stuck with the sliders and changeups at teh bottom of the zone
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted October 20, 2024 Posted October 20, 2024 Goddamn Soto is gooood and clutch. You could see a big hit coming during that at bat, he had Gaddis timed up. Cleveland doesn’t deserve to win the series based on errors and stupidity
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted October 20, 2024 Posted October 20, 2024 Gaddis had him, should have stuck with the sliders and changeups at teh bottom of the zone Nah man, you could see Soto had it figured out. Locked in and fouling off everything. You could feel it coming
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted October 20, 2024 Posted October 20, 2024 Wow, is this guy going to get paid or what? He’s gonna get at least three fiddy

Cleveland doesn’t deserve to win the series based on errors and stupidity there's a small hole in Soto's swing right at the bottom of the zone which Gaddis was doing - then for some reason decided to challenge him with a FB. dumb
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted October 20, 2024 Posted October 20, 2024 Indians pitching giving it up to the Yankees big bats
hanton Old-Timey Member Posted October 20, 2024 Posted October 20, 2024 That was is Soto's wheelhouse.....
Laika Community Moderator Posted October 20, 2024 Posted October 20, 2024 That Rocchio drop was so brutal
Omar Old-Timey Member Posted October 20, 2024 Posted October 20, 2024 Well, one step closer to the mlb corporate orgasm World Series.
BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted October 20, 2024 Posted October 20, 2024 Soto is a generational player.
hanton Old-Timey Member Posted October 20, 2024 Posted October 20, 2024 Nah man, you could see Soto had it figured out. Locked in and fouling off everything. You could feel it coming he wore him down that's for sure

Nah man, Soto is elite. He was not going to strikeout there. Agree he should not have thrown Soto high cheese though. Stupid pitch

Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted October 20, 2024 Posted October 20, 2024 It really seems like the Yankees’ year. Hard to see either the Mets/Dodgers beating them. Neither team has the pitching.
thatoneguy Old-Timey Member Posted October 20, 2024 Posted October 20, 2024 Well, one step closer to the mlb corporate orgasm World Series. I think it's locked in now, either the Mets or Dodgers vs. the Yankees is a corporate wet dream.

hanton Old-Timey Member Posted October 20, 2024 Posted October 20, 2024 The Soto shuffle was on full display during that ab vs Gaddis The count was 1-2 and I think they were trying to waste a FB high and away but it got way too much of the plate.

Should’ve thrown low and away to Stanton, pitch ended up middle-low. Fastball to Soto should have been a lot higher and out of the zone. Plus the botched force out in the 10th. Mistakes mistakes

Mistakes mistakes This isn’t MLB the show These guys aren’t meaning to hang breakers The ball Soto hits out was above the zone clearly Bibee should’ve buried the curve ball in the dirt sure but there’s a difference between a strike to ball out of the hand and a ball the entire way You’re being extremely critical of the best players in the entire world in extreme pressure environments

Im allowed to criticize these players lol what do you think this is, its a f***ing message board for discussing ball. Get over yourself
Jaysareus Verified Member Posted October 20, 2024 Posted October 20, 2024 Guardians should not have been throwing any hittable pitches to Stanton. Game three of this series was the best game in the playoffs this year. Soto is going to look great in a jays uniform next year
