I don't think I would want to see him in same division. Could we get a package like Kirby, Arozarena and prospect Ford from Mariners? Or is that too much?

Kirby be good at front of our rotation. Arozarena depth in outfield and Ford be among our best prospects.

Take Vlad's 30 million and sign power hitting 1b with around .900 OPS

We already have a power hitting 1B with .900+ OPS. His name is Vladdy Jr. It's unfortunate that we didn't extend him earlier this year. We probably could have gotten him for about $250M, with the tear his on now probably gonna cost us at least $350M now. Can't see him getting anything less then $300M or AAV of $30M and a 10 year min contract. Anything less then a 10 year deal probably looking at $35M+ AAV

Look on the bright side, he may start hitting 70% ground balls again for a month.

I have no idea what a deal would look like especially the current version of Vlady. I want him here - they need to extend him

The Score had an article today suggesting that he'll blow Pujols' deal out of the water and will merit consideration for a deal like Harper or Devers.

The Devers deal is kind of what I'm expecting.

Yep. Pujols was going be 32 the next year, had showed signs of slowing down a bit. Was a dozen years ago. All you guys have done is throw out s***** comp, after s***** comp, guessing Vlads 8/200 contract

Hah, you change your mind like you do lipstick colours, douche.

Squawking like a chicken s***...

Again, I’ll say in this thread too, I only defend Vlad in times like these. When he’s just average at the plate, my opinion changes quickly. He has to close out well before FA

Are we going to do the gaslighting game? When Vlad signs his $300m+ deal, you guys were saying it all along and I came along for the ride at the end?

Your self awareness is zero.

I remember seeing Manoah in the dugout during a game a week or so back. Has Bo been in the dugout at all since he has been injured? I don't recall seeing him or having the commentators point him out.

he's as good as gone either during this off-season or traded before the 2025 tdl

Yeah, he's been there along with Romano... Bo's starting up baseball activities later this week.

Thanks. I don't catch all of the games. Do the media comment on him during broadcasts?

Nah, just what they said when he was in the dugout, is basically what I already told you. He's to start baseball activities in Florida late this week.

– The Toronto Blue Jays are expected to entertain trade offers this winter for shortstop Bo Bichette, who has no plans to stay in Toronto once he’s a free agent after the 2025 season.

First baseman Vladimir Guerrero Jr. is also a free agent after the 2025 season, but the Blue Jays want to try signing him before he hits free agency.

Nothing new here really, just more confirmation of what we've heard for the past few months.

At this point we have to hope Bo comes out with one decent month to up his value a little more for the offseason.

great the entire league knows he wants out

Yeah, not optimal for sure. I’m sure they’ll posture they’re totally willing to keep him, but there’s an expected discount in there for sure now.

What's he worth anyway?

Even if there was no drama his season has been horrendous

I'm trying to think of recent trade that included a similarly distressed asset:

- 1 year from free agency

- relationship with team seemingly fractured - no shot at extension

- has been roughly replacement level over the last calendar year

- significant injury issues - 4 different IL stints for issues with the same leg over the last two seasons

This feels like a Donaldson situation where the team ends up with almost nothing

Feels like the best they can do would be similar to the Teoscar package. Aaron Swanson and Erick Macko.

All I can think of in recent history is the Jesse Winker trade to Seattle

He was coming off a good year but he was an obviously flawed player with a track record of injury problems, fringe power, platoon problems.

I wonder if things are bad enough that it's a "trade him for whatever you can get" situation in the offseason. His body language seems really bad. They could, maybe, hold and hope he returns to form. But if he's mentally checked out and going to sulk around next season too, they probably don't really want him around.
