Kirk since July 1st of 2022 has hit for a 93 wRC+ with a .248/.330/.340 triple slash. Jansen in that same time frame has a 124 wRC+ .244/.329/.475 triple slash. I really cannot wait for Jansen to get back.

Having Jansen and Schneider hitting in the middle of the order changes a lot. They are similar in a few ways.

To be fair to Kirk, he has almost 300 more PAs in that same timeframe. Jansen is great but his availability is an issue. You can't rely on him for extended stretches.

It's Vlad by a lot. Bo is annoying now but he's the one I'm least concerned about offensively, even if his defense is frustrating.

Vlad is the most frustrating player on the roster to me. He has all the potential in the world with the bat but it feels like unless he has a lot of other good bats around him, think in 2021 with Springer, Hernandez, Bichette, Semien, he pushes too hard and expands the zone, is too aggressive at the plate and just f***ing sucks.

We're like 6 status quo weeks away from debating the merits of non-tendering him in November. He needs to be better than 2023 to warrant a ~25M salary next year
