bones10 Old-Timey Member Posted March 31, 2024 Posted March 31, 2024 Biggio's been good this series, IDK man, it's not his fault. I'm always a Biggio supporter but hes just been bumming around too long on this team, Clement Schneider should get a shot. Idk maybe theres a way he still has roll but the roster construction this year is weird.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted March 31, 2024 Posted March 31, 2024 To be fair, it's not just this message board. Our offense is being mentioned by the entire baseball world. Otherwise we'd be near World Series favourties when combined with our pitching and defense. lol
Jays24 Old-Timey Member Posted March 31, 2024 Posted March 31, 2024 I’m sure he’ll sleep at night. But I won't lol
L54 Old-Timey Member Posted March 31, 2024 Posted March 31, 2024 Clement is our Chris Taylor - an extremely valuable player to have on the roster Oooo nice comp
Rimar Verified Member Posted March 31, 2024 Posted March 31, 2024 Ham Schneider did it again, I doubt Gaussman will be happy with the decision 😄
Jays24 Old-Timey Member Posted March 31, 2024 Posted March 31, 2024 lol Always love the great contribution to the discussion Spanky lol
Masterbather Verified Member Posted March 31, 2024 Posted March 31, 2024 Nice to see that start from the Ace.
Omar Old-Timey Member Posted March 31, 2024 Posted March 31, 2024 When was the last time Nate hit triple digits? A thing of the past.

Jays24 Old-Timey Member Posted March 31, 2024 Posted March 31, 2024 When was the last time Nate hit triple digits? A thing of the past. Don't think that's been the issue with the guy... controlling his stuff is what I'd care about.
L54 Old-Timey Member Posted March 31, 2024 Posted March 31, 2024 Team has scored 18 runs in 3.5 games at the Trop even though Bo apparently missed the plane, all to incessant BJMB screeching about how bad the offense is. Context matters Two homers off of a lefty who was worth negative WAR over 100 innings last year third time through the order
hanton Old-Timey Member Posted March 31, 2024 Author Posted March 31, 2024 2nd last pitch to Caballero was a wicked slider.
Omar Old-Timey Member Posted March 31, 2024 Posted March 31, 2024 Don't think that's been the issue with the guy... controlling his stuff is what I'd care about. Never said it was an issue.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted March 31, 2024 Posted March 31, 2024 When was the last time Nate hit triple digits? A thing of the past. He probably still can he just knows now he has no chance of commanding it. 100 is useless unless you can throw it for strikes.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted March 31, 2024 Posted March 31, 2024 Don't think that's been the issue with the guy... controlling his stuff is what I'd care about. I mean it’s pretty disappointing when his whole calling card as a starting pitching prospect was an indisputable 80 grade fastball. For him to sit 96 as a reliever is a bummer, his fastball should be an overpowering pitch and his poor command is not the only reason it isn’t.

Otherwise we'd be near World Series favourties when combined with our pitching and defense. Most lineups will involve IKF, KK, Biggio and Varsho. By AL East standards, it'll be a struggle on many days. Against lefties they might be pretty good though.
TradeBichette Verified Member Posted March 31, 2024 Posted March 31, 2024 Ernie needs to start at short every game. How do people not see the night and day difference of having a Major League player there???

Jays24 Old-Timey Member Posted March 31, 2024 Posted March 31, 2024 Never said it was an issue. My bad... and I was pretty sure he hit triple digits a few times last year. Think he even gave up a few Homers off those pitches because of how straight his fastballs were.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted March 31, 2024 Posted March 31, 2024 Always love the great contribution to the discussion Spanky lol Who in the baseball world think that? Projections have the Jays as a contender, sir. Get in and win.
Jays24 Old-Timey Member Posted March 31, 2024 Posted March 31, 2024 Who in the baseball world think that? Projections have the Jays as a contender, sir. Get in and win. Are you seriously saying you havent heard the national and local media question our offense? The reason we're projected to make one of the last wild card spots is because of our starting pitching, bullpen and defense. The conversation was about why people are crapping on the offensive potential when the answer is pretty clear lol.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted March 31, 2024 Posted March 31, 2024 Lots of 94s from White, where’s the velo we saw in Spring?
Omar Old-Timey Member Posted March 31, 2024 Posted March 31, 2024 Biggio like a magnet out there for the ball.
Jays24 Old-Timey Member Posted March 31, 2024 Posted March 31, 2024 Can we safely assume that the cycle is out of the question for Turner? Getting that triple would have to involve some level of little league defense lol.

Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted March 31, 2024 Posted March 31, 2024 5.77 ERA is pitching well in Japan lol. Maybe stats work differently there.

L54 Old-Timey Member Posted March 31, 2024 Posted March 31, 2024 Context matters Two homers off of a lefty who was worth negative WAR over 100 innings last year third time through the order I am wrong. Wasn’t third time through the order
