Jays24 Old-Timey Member Posted March 29, 2024 Posted March 29, 2024 Would be tough to take out Biggio after yesterday but I'm guessing IFK sits with one of Davis/Clement playing. Hopefully Turner is good to go.
deanmike Verified Member Posted March 29, 2024 Posted March 29, 2024 I could see one of Schneider/Clement/Vogelbach getting into either this game or next game for IKF. Game 4 of the series is against a lefty so both Schneider and Clement are starting that one. I think IKF will start 4-5 of these first 7 games at 3B before the first off day. Already started yesterday and is guaranteed to start against LH starters with the way the current 26 man is constructed. Jays are currently scheduled to face 2 LH starters in the first 7 games (Alexander and Valdez). Keep in mind Turner should get at least 1 start at 3B in the first 7 games here, considering the team said he'll start 1-2 games in the field per week.
Sorrow Verified Member Posted March 29, 2024 Posted March 29, 2024 I think the four man platoon between 2B/3B is going to be a bit more complicated than just a straight RHP or LHP setup. There's going to be considerations of the opposing pitchers stuff and repertoire so if someone has a pronounced weakness you can put them on the bench (Schneider and high fastballs as an example) but if we have guys who allow more balls in play you may trade a bit of offence for better D. I wouldn't be surprised to see a game like today with Vogelbach starting at DH and Turner at 2B and Turner coming out in favour of Clement or Schneider after 3 at bats.
glory Old-Timey Member Posted March 29, 2024 Posted March 29, 2024 Same lineup as yesterday. Would have liked to see Clement in there given how great of a spring he had.
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted March 29, 2024 Posted March 29, 2024 Falefa for 450 PA could be a disaster
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted March 29, 2024 Posted March 29, 2024 Falefa for 450 PA could be a disaster Oh yeah I'm so upset he's our staring 3B I'm hoping Celemt and Biggio play so well that he's relegated to a bench role/late game defensive replacement
John Balkabella Verified Member Posted March 29, 2024 Posted March 29, 2024 Falefa for 450 PA could be a disaster Dunno what Ross was thinking. But when you think about it, the Jays should be able to cobble together production from third that leaves somewhat less than the Avogadro’s number Chapman left on base last year.
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted March 29, 2024 Posted March 29, 2024 Falefa for 450 PA could be a disaster Right now, Davis Schneider or Orelvis/Barger raw are better than Falefa. Defense is so overrated.
hanton Old-Timey Member Posted March 29, 2024 Posted March 29, 2024 Why bat Biggio 9th? his hot bat aside he doesn't even profile as 9 hitter - there's no small ball in his game. "to roll the lineup over for Springer" yea no
june.june Verified Member Posted March 29, 2024 Posted March 29, 2024 Gurriel already have 5 RBIs and 1st game of Varsho, he always not disappoint Jays nation… posting zeroes across the board. Thanks Atkins.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted March 29, 2024 Posted March 29, 2024 Gurriel already have 5 RBIs and 1st game of Varsho, he always not disappoint Jays nation… posting zeroes across the board. Thanks Atkins. Gurriel was a free agent this past off season anyway We wouldn't still have him, with with or without the trade for Varsho That part doesn't really matter any more
Masterbather Verified Member Posted March 29, 2024 Posted March 29, 2024 Guaranteed split at the Trop would be a very nice way to start the season.
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted March 29, 2024 Posted March 29, 2024 Well, that's a sizeable strike zone tonight
BTS Community Moderator Posted March 29, 2024 Author Posted March 29, 2024 That third strike was ********
harvey16 Verified Member Posted March 29, 2024 Posted March 29, 2024 That wasn't even close, Robin Umps now!
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted March 29, 2024 Posted March 29, 2024 That third strike was ******** That was the Pat Hentgen special right there
harvey16 Verified Member Posted March 29, 2024 Posted March 29, 2024 What makes that a Pat Hentgen special?
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted March 29, 2024 Posted March 29, 2024 What makes that a Pat Hentgen special? Strike 3 in the opposite batter's box.
Perfect Game Verified Member Posted March 29, 2024 Posted March 29, 2024 Gurriel already have 5 RBIs and 1st game of Varsho, he always not disappoint Jays nation… posting zeroes across the board. Thanks Atkins. All 5 of Gurriel's RBI'S were scored against Freeland & Molina. The first two pitchers for Colorado who combined for 16 earned runs in 2.2 innings pitched between them. Maybe, just maybe, he wasn't facing their best pitchers 🤔
BTS Community Moderator Posted March 29, 2024 Author Posted March 29, 2024 Jesus Christ f***ing ump show already
harvey16 Verified Member Posted March 29, 2024 Posted March 29, 2024 This ump is complete trash, 2 free Ks for Civale, that one was worse then the call on Springer
glory Old-Timey Member Posted March 29, 2024 Posted March 29, 2024 Bassitt better get that same strike zone.
Masterbather Verified Member Posted March 29, 2024 Posted March 29, 2024 Gotta roll with the strike zone. We can use it to our advantage also.
Grant77 Old-Timey Member Posted March 29, 2024 Posted March 29, 2024 Bassitt looks great. Nice to see!
