John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted March 26, 2024 Posted March 26, 2024 Personally I don’t think they would commit 4M to Votto and Vogelbach if it meant they had no room at the deadline the 2.75 they traded away in Espinal looks even more important then in addition to the fact that he sucks.
saskjayfan Old-Timey Member Posted March 26, 2024 Posted March 26, 2024 did you miss the part about this "advanced consent" s***? I guess if DV says yes before the season begins, the Jays could outright him or cut him up to 45 days into the season and only pay him his pro-rated salary. Shi Davidi doesn't mention the "advanced consent form" in an article on sportsnet prior to roster decisions, if they didn't ask him to sign it. I would say it's highly probable they did ask him to sign it and we have 45 days to release him.

Eat My Shatkins Verified Member Posted March 26, 2024 Posted March 26, 2024 I'd like to see Danner in MLB over Pop with Romano and Swanson on the IL. He had a decent spring and misses mote bats than Pop. And hopefully this is Pearson's coming out party as a legit high leverage reliever
