Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted September 30, 2024 Posted September 30, 2024 Utter domination from Schwellenbach against the Mets. Gutsy outing to propel them into a playoff position.
AMS528 Verified Member Posted September 30, 2024 Posted September 30, 2024 Schwellenbach started the year in high A ball, made the jump all the way to the Majors, has put up a 3.29 ERA/FIP since being up, and has held together the Braves rotation which dealt with injuries and Bryce Elder falling off, blew past his career high in innings pitched and has not slowed down all the way to this critical game. Impressive as hell rookie season.

Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted September 30, 2024 Posted September 30, 2024 Mets coming alive. Just like that it's a game again.
BTS Community Moderator Posted September 30, 2024 Posted September 30, 2024 Wo, Iglesias in for a 2-inning save after a Jimenez implosion
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted September 30, 2024 Posted September 30, 2024 Time to bring Farhan Zaidi home.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted September 30, 2024 Posted September 30, 2024 This game is electric all of a sudden.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted September 30, 2024 Posted September 30, 2024 Yep It's been blown 3-3
Masterbather Old-Timey Member Posted September 30, 2024 Posted September 30, 2024 Some people were yapping too soon. The Mutts suddenly lead.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted September 30, 2024 Posted September 30, 2024 OMFG that escalated more than quickly Nimmo HR off Iglesias and they're up 6-3 What the f***
Masterbather Old-Timey Member Posted September 30, 2024 Posted September 30, 2024 Lol. Really screwed the Braves entire situation here today. It was all set up for them.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted September 30, 2024 Posted September 30, 2024 Jose Igelsias having a dead-cat bounce career year is wild. 34 years old and out of the league last season, to becoming a hero in New York. Holy f*** the Mets are STUNTIN' ON EM right now. What an absolute collapse.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted September 30, 2024 Posted September 30, 2024 Iglesias pulled. Oh boy
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted September 30, 2024 Posted September 30, 2024 Nimmo mammoth pimp job is a gut punch for the Barves.
BTS Community Moderator Posted September 30, 2024 Posted September 30, 2024 Braves fans on Reddit are blaming Snitker. I thought he made all the right calls.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted September 30, 2024 Posted September 30, 2024 Braves fans on Reddit are blaming Snitker. I thought he made all the right calls. Fans are so reactionary. Schwellenbach stayed in long enough to save the rest of the bullpen, got into trouble just before the fourth time through and they brought in their two best relievers who both didn't have it. Definitely no wrong moves made by Snitker. That's the way it goes sometimes.

Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted September 30, 2024 Posted September 30, 2024 Worst case scenario for the Braves, as they now burn all their high leverage arms, and are forced to send out Chris Sale for Game 2, who then won't be available for the Wild Card series except on short rest.
Masterbather Old-Timey Member Posted September 30, 2024 Posted September 30, 2024 Braves fans on Reddit are blaming Snitker. I thought he made all the right calls. Maybe you can argue that Iglesias should have been in for two innings to begin with, but it certainly wasn't egregious not to do so especially if you want him available tomorrow. Fans just doing what angry fans do.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted September 30, 2024 Posted September 30, 2024 Cover the f***ing base Diaz.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted September 30, 2024 Posted September 30, 2024 Edwin Diaz is melting down. This would be the most Mets outcome ever.
BTS Community Moderator Posted September 30, 2024 Posted September 30, 2024 Holy hell what a f***ing game
Masterbather Old-Timey Member Posted September 30, 2024 Posted September 30, 2024 I love dramatic baseball.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted September 30, 2024 Posted September 30, 2024 Edwin Diaz might be the most hated good reliever of all time. The guy just has a knack for blowing up at the absolute worst time.
Laika Community Moderator Posted September 30, 2024 Posted September 30, 2024 Edwin Diaz might be the most hated good reliever of all time. The guy just has a knack for blowing up at the absolute worst time. so is he even a good reliever then?

LOL unless they come and win it... Jeez what a game
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted September 30, 2024 Posted September 30, 2024 so is he even a good reliever then? The numbers would say so! Maybe he's such a jock that he wants the nerds to look stupid for believing he's the right guy to put into ultra high leverage situations because of made up things like Whiff Rate, K%, xFIP?, Extension??? He's a made up good player. He sucks.
