Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted September 7, 2024 Posted September 7, 2024 Rocker will be a MLB reliever. His career will be similar to Pearson's. How come you say that, innings?
connorp Old-Timey Member Posted September 7, 2024 Posted September 7, 2024 Rocker will be a MLB reliever. His career will be similar to Pearson's. Pearson was always overrated. I mean, yes, I’m saying that with the power of hindsight but look at his minor league numbers. It was always about the potential, the tools. If you look at his minor league numbers and nothing else, there’s absolutely nothing that pops out
connorp Old-Timey Member Posted September 7, 2024 Posted September 7, 2024 You could honestly easily find prospects outside the Top 100 with numbers better than his
Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted September 7, 2024 Posted September 7, 2024 I know someone posted about Parker Meadows hitting the GS to beat SD...but I can't find it. Here's a cool clip as apparently the SD announcer went all Lou Brown...with different results. Enjoy. Both the Movie pitch from Wild Thing and the Real life pitch from Robert Suarez are 101mph. But much different results. Lol. #mlb #baseball".
Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted September 8, 2024 Posted September 8, 2024 (edited) I think before 2025 you can just bet the over on the Athletics projected win totals, and make a lot of money Rooker - star Bleday - 3 WAR and counting with K rate under 20% Butler - 3 WAR in 367 PA. Another star? Langeliers - 2 WAR solid C Schuemann - sneaky good walks and defense SS? Gelof - good bounce back candidate in 2025 Jacob Wilson - will be good. nuked the minors and has strong projections. They have 5 SP presently in their rotation who are under 29 and above replacement level. Nothing sexy but they will stay in games. The best closer in baseball. I agree. Rooker looks like a legit star. Incredible given how long it took for him to develop. Butler is a beast. Legit star in the making. They got Bleday for next to nothing and turned his career around and Jacob Wilson's bat looks incredible. Would be unreal to see Billy Beane get one more shot to win with zero budget. connorp Old-Timey Member Posted September 8, 2024 Posted September 8, 2024 Pumping another of my fantasy guys that I got for pennies in my new league as a flyer.. But keeping it baseball related… I’m not a “coaches guy” and it’s a SSS, but Michael Kopech just immediately stepping in with LAD and being lights out is pretty nuts.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted September 9, 2024 Posted September 9, 2024 Verlander is cooked He will bounce back. He always does.
connorp Old-Timey Member Posted September 9, 2024 Posted September 9, 2024 He will bounce back. He always does. He’s 41.5 bro lol. Can only count on that so long. Tom Brady. LeBron James. Those are only guys in our lifetime that will be top quality at 42. I could see him having a swan song PS. Not the whole time but a couple games if they go that far. That’ll be it.

connorp Old-Timey Member Posted September 9, 2024 Posted September 9, 2024 He just needs to get on the stuff that LeBron is on. He’s got his money and Kate Upton while the tits haven’t sagged yet. Not the type to have a desire. I imagine LeBron has been on some cocktail of some anti-aging hgh and whatever else, along with his other cryogenics. The saying is he spends $1m/yr on body preservation, so I’m sure there’s some cutting edge pharmaceuticals in there somewhere.

jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted September 9, 2024 Posted September 9, 2024 Last 11 games, Judge has failed to hit a homer run and has struggled as a whole during the power drought, slashing .175/.327/.250 with a 34.7 percent strikeout rate. If Judge continues to struggle in September, increases the chances for Bobby Witt Jr. for AL MVP.
connorp Old-Timey Member Posted September 10, 2024 Posted September 10, 2024 Royce Lewis had hit a wall. Too much starting and stopping. Going to be sexy mid round redraft pick in 2025 though

Connor won’t shut up about Rocker because he owns him in fantasy… in a league that has nothing to do with the board anymore… Dude is a broken record with his fantasy glazing
