On Wednesday for Norfolk, Kyle Stowers had three home runs and a double. Heston Kjerstad had five hits with two doubles and two home runs. He had 10 RBIs. Coby Mayo had five hits including a double and a triple. Jackson Holliday went 4-for-6 with five runs scored, two doubles, two walks and two RBIs.

easily the Dodgers - the way they develop position players and pitchers - like no other team in the majors and that includes non-homegrown players eg. Justin Turner, Muncy, Chris Taylor...etc.

I would have said dodgers 6 months ago, but after ohtani conspired to keep us from signing Soto and purposely led us on so we would miss out, I have to say I hope they lose now.

 

I would not be able to pick an Al east team because I have had issues with all of them and how they conduct themselves.

 

National league - the whole national league is a joke

 

Detroit - no, because we don’t even know if that city will exist in 10 years. I heard they are going downhill.

 

Minnesota - no, because of 2023 playoffs.

 

Oakland - low payroll, so no

 

LA angels - no, because they used to have ohtani

The 2024 season is officially the Athletics’ last year in Oakland. The team announced this morning that they’ll spend the 2025-27 seasons playing their home games in Sacramento’s Sutter Health Park ahead of their planned 2028 move to Las Vegas. There’s an option on the agreement for the A’s to spend a fourth year in Sacramento, presumably in the event that the construction of their new Las Vegas stadium is not completed on time.

 

Sutter Health Park is home to the Sacramento River Cats — the Giants’ Triple-A affiliate. It seems the two teams will share the stadium for at least the next three seasons — or at least that such an arrangement is under consideration.
