Kyle Bradish (elbow) said Friday that he’s very confident he’ll pitch this season.

Bradish is scheduled to resume throwing Friday for the first time since receiving a PRP injection to address a right elbow sprain. The history of pitchers opting for the rest and recovery route, instead of surgery, following a UCL injury isn’t all that encouraging. However, we’re not willing to rule out the possibility that Bradish will ultimately be able to make it back and pitch this season.

Chances are he comes back sometime in July, pitches a couple of games, is shutdown and has TJS, misses 2025 in its entirety.

Just get the damn thing done now, come back in early 2025.

I'm of this proponent.

That's a tricky scenario. It seems like these conservative treatment options almost never work, but at the same time not everyone fully recovers from Tommy John surgery either. Look at a guy like Syndergaard who simply wasn't the same after his own surgical procedure.

You can’t expect it to have 100% success but if you throw a broken guy out there for half a season then decide he needs TJS you’ve effectively lost two seasons instead of one

Question is how much of it is up to the player, because I think he would prefer to try and rehab and rest instead of end his season before it started

Grichuk to the DBacks for 2M

I would have been cool with Grichuk as 4th outfielder for this type of coin.

Grichuk likely has no interest in coming back to TO for that though, and i doubt the Jays FO would be all that interested either.

The truth is nobody knows for certain what either Grichuk or the Jays FO were thinking in regards to a potential reunion

Atkins has moved onto building a championship aaa roster.

1b Horwitz

Rf barger

Dh Eduardo Escoba/vogelbach

Lf rodon

Brock and Chad Dallas at some point.

That’s why he moved Robberse and Kloffenstein. It just wouldn’t have been fair to the other teams

Like I know your saying this tongue in cheek buts its really pretty good. Just not much impact past this in AA or A.

And the rotation could be

Ricky

YRod

White

Francis

Red Sox flip- Schreiber for a 23-year old with 8 innings above low-A. What are they even trying to accomplish?

White has no options and barring a completely disastrous spring somebody would almost assuredly pick him up if the club were to attempt to sneak him through waivers.

Oh I was kidding about this being Atkins priority but the roster is stacked for sure. Who’s joining me for some games?

Can always fake IL for a couple weeks and then bring him back on a rehab stint untill a spot opens up.

Clearly they are "retooling" without rebuilding

Soft rebuild, basically

Jesus, the Giants signed the Panda to a milb deal... They are even more desperate for depth than the Blue Jays ;)

What would be more entertaining than watching the Panda and Vogelbach play baseball is maybe a Sumo match or an eating contest or straight up 1980's WWF....

At this point I just want Bauer to sign with an NPB team and get it over with. It's awkward watching him beg for a job.
