Yes 100% Kikuchi is much better but I still think it takes him to make it work, maybe the cash would have been less than the Mariners are paying and perhaps there is no reliever going the Twins way too.

If we got Polanco, 3B is still broke and we've got a glut of options at 2B. We could have made it work but it wouldn't make sense to give up a package like that for another 2B.

Except when Atkins makes trades, he's the one who gains BTV surplus value not the other team (almost every trade he makes in the +5 to 10 range at the time of the trade).
