I think there was a recent article that said power was actually more important in the playoffs. The logic was that pitchers in the playoffs are better, so you have fewer runners on base to string walks/hits together. So HRs account for a higher % of total runs in the playoffs.

 

Harder to string multiple hits together against good arms. Like we’re seeing today. Makes sense
