Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted October 25, 2023 Posted October 25, 2023 lol You're a useless poster on here man. You sit on the sidelines, try to stir up arguments between other posters and always type "lol" from the sidelines. Stop trying to instigate. I never even saw or responded to Term's posts yet you're trying to paint me as a chicken because I didn't accept a bet, which he never even directed at me to begin with. Who said it was about you, need some kleenex bro, lmao.
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted October 25, 2023 Posted October 25, 2023 Who said I was taking a bet with Term? Again Spanky creating a false narrative and trying to stir up s*** like he always does. You’re not, that was my point.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted October 25, 2023 Posted October 25, 2023 Give it a f***ing rest, CD. You're taught to force a cut. Moreno actually made a great play. By heading to second he forces the Phillies to exchange the lead run for an out. In the top of 5 in Game 7 it shows great baseball instincts Baserunning 101

Carlos Danger Old-Timey Member Posted October 25, 2023 Posted October 25, 2023 Baserunning 101 Carroll was basically at the plate when they cut it. They were going to cut regardless to prevent the runner to go to 2nd if he just rounded first but stayed within range or they saw him dancing out in no man’s land. Point being they were going to cut regardless and that’s what the players on the field would be shouting based on Caroll’s proximity to the plate.

hanton Old-Timey Member Posted October 25, 2023 Posted October 25, 2023 because sometimes it's hard to judge if the ball is being cut or not that's the point of being in perfect position like Harper was. Then he just needs to listen to the catcher, on whether to cut or not. The priority is to get the runner in
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted October 25, 2023 Author Posted October 25, 2023 Hoffman has been really good this season: 11.87 K/9 and 1.5 WAR in 52.1 innings. Nice to see him having success!
Carlos Danger Old-Timey Member Posted October 25, 2023 Posted October 25, 2023 Nothing changes from our comments, baserunning 101. They teach you to make the turn and go to 2b if the throw goes through. I have never been taught or seen taught, go regardless if they cut or not. You make the turn with the ability to get back to 1b or go to 2b. Big difference between drawing a throw or cut and sacrificing yourself. You are not taught to sacrifice an out in that situation. They would have cut it, the run would have scored, the Phils would prevent the runner going to 2b and you have two outs runner on 1b.
philly30 Verified Member Posted October 25, 2023 Posted October 25, 2023 Terrible choke job by both Astros and Phillies

hanton Old-Timey Member Posted October 25, 2023 Posted October 25, 2023 Dbacks have seen Alvarado how many times now......
BTS Community Moderator Posted October 25, 2023 Posted October 25, 2023 Damn, Phils in tough. I wonder if they ask Sewald to go 2.
Carlos Danger Old-Timey Member Posted October 25, 2023 Posted October 25, 2023 Terrible choke job by both Astros and Phillies 2 run game bro. Phils have a lot of bashers, ain’t close to over.
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted October 25, 2023 Author Posted October 25, 2023 2 run game bro. Phils have a lot of bashers, ain’t close to over. A 2 run lead never feels safe at Citizens Bank Park. Great game so far!
BTS Community Moderator Posted October 25, 2023 Posted October 25, 2023 lol @ the relievers the D'Backs are trotting out there
BTS Community Moderator Posted October 25, 2023 Posted October 25, 2023 Imagine walking Christian Pache with the top of the order coming up
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted October 25, 2023 Posted October 25, 2023 Dbacks have seen Alvarado how many times now...... Has to be all 7 games haha
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted October 25, 2023 Posted October 25, 2023 You don't walk Pache, dude???

Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted October 25, 2023 Posted October 25, 2023 Imagine walking Christian Pache with the top of the order coming up Welp... connor rosters that guy in both of his leagues.
hanton Old-Timey Member Posted October 25, 2023 Posted October 25, 2023 No idea why Thompson didn't come back out....
thatoneguy Old-Timey Member Posted October 25, 2023 Posted October 25, 2023 You are just begging for a literal Richter Scale home run here.
BTS Community Moderator Posted October 25, 2023 Posted October 25, 2023 So Gallen couldn't come in on two days rest to throw an inning or two and get the ball to Sewald to try and lock down a pennant? It would have been his throw day anyway, right? Wheeler did it.
philly30 Verified Member Posted October 25, 2023 Posted October 25, 2023 Time for Turner and Harper to show they are superstars.
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted October 25, 2023 Author Posted October 25, 2023 Ron Darling everytime Saalfrank came in: "He only pitched in 10 games during the regular season!" Saalfrank 7 BB's to 13 batters faced. Shouldn't be pitching in a 4-2 game in the 7th.
BTS Community Moderator Posted October 25, 2023 Posted October 25, 2023 I think you have to walk Harper here if they get Turner

I hope the state of arizona holds Gallen personally responsible if they lose this game, on account of being a little bitch.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted October 25, 2023 Posted October 25, 2023 Pitching to Harper is fireable offense for me.
