Schneider not in the Buffalo line up tonight. He better have a first class flight to Boston booked.

Twitter saying he got called up. He's not on the 40-man so someone is getting DFA'ed right?

I just read on twitter that Davis Schneider is finally being called up but not sure on how reliable the source is.

Fans need to boycott going to games next season if nothing changes this off season.

If they miss the playoffs (or even if they make it and get swept again) and Atkins isn't fired then I won't be watching next year.

We need fresh players that want to compete, Biggio, Espinal and Varsho are underperforming they should go down to the minors, Espinal and Biggio are not going to get better

Fantastic news. Hopefully the hitting coaches don’t tell him to swing at balls like the rest of the team

f***ing useless team. Jesus christ how do you lose this many games to Boston and Baltimore?

Baltimore is pretty good but yeah getting swept twice by the Redox is embarrassing

division hopes are over, just stay steady in the playoff spot until the easy part of the schedule and hope they can make up enough ground to cover their ass rest of the season

If this team doesn't make the playoffs, then Atkins, the hitting coach and Schneider should be gone.

Or they should move some players and have a look at management. It’s fun when people don’t understand who has more than a marginal impact on a teams performance.

Yeah, looks like it. Just keep Davis far far away from Guermillo.

Totally. guermillo and Schneider are currently sitting in the managers office plotting to ruin his career. They must be stopped!

Listen I'm not a fan of Martinez nor am I interested in defending him. But let's ponder this. Why is Danny Jansen allowed to exclusively pull the ball but everyone else is not? Do we really believe the Hitting Coach of the Baseball team is determining where all players should be hitting the ball? Like they absolutely f***ed with Varsho in Spring by trying a different approach with him trying to unlock him as more than just power guy and it back fired in a Major way. But it's very difficult for me to believe that one guy is telling everyone how to hit and they are listening to him like its the gospel. It sounds like very convenient excuse to cover the ass of under performing players. But sometimes sports firing coaches works as a scape goat so why not try it.

Because Jansen can't hit any other way. The problem I see is the situational approaches the batters are taking. I've seen way too many 2-0, 3-1 fastballs on the inner half where the batters are late on, trying to inside out the ball the other way. That kind of approach should be taken when you have two strikes on you, not in a hitter's count where you should be looking to do damage. Get the f***ing head out once in a while ffs.

Well if the last 3+ months have shown anything. A lot of our other hitters also can't hit the ball the other way either. It worked initially for Chapman and to his credit has hit a lot of doubles although most of them came in April. I also feel he has hit less Homeruns despite being in the upper echelon of hard hit ball %. Bo's elite it at it we know that but I feel the approach isn't really creating more offense and higher batting averages using more of the field. It feels instead we hit a metric f*** ton of ground balls hard at infielders. When they can be pulling the ball for Homeruns. Danny has maximized his skill set by knowing who he is as a hitter. Maybe its time for others to come to that realization as well.

Miss the Bautista Eddie days of true sluggers waiting on that huge pull swing

Mount Crushmore. When Ross said he wanted to focus on “run prevention” I thought he was talking about our defense.

Not to mention getting rid of the home run jacket, not because they wanted to get more serious, but rather because they were going to stop hitting home runs. They tried to warn us.

They should ban Vladdy from dumping Gatorade on players while they are at it

I partly agree with you but I guess it might be instructive to try and understand what happened to Jose Bautista and Edwin Encarnacian and then work from there.

Both as hitters were very similar to bad Guerrero, the 2022 version. Then something happened that changed their 15-20 homer power to 40 homer power.

So what was it? A random hitting tip? A brilliant hitting tip from Cito Gaston? Something they read? Pharmaceutical help? The man in white?

I think the 'official' story involves hitting mechanics and Cito (or someone else) simply unlocking the talent by working out timing and hitting mechanics. So if the 'official' story is true shouldn't Guerrero (and maybe a couple of others), who is starting from a better talent base also be helped with mechanical adjustments? And shouldn't this be job number one of the hitting coach?
