I don't understand, they have a series of coaches and every tool at their disposal. Go up there with a plan FFS. Lay off the fastball, which shouldn't be too hard because he rarely throws it. Look breaking ball. Instead, it actually looks to me like they're being fooled by it which is absolutely mind bggling to me.

We can be level headed in this kind of situation if Varsho is half decent on offense

 

But whatever contribution he gives on defense cannot compensate his major deficiency on offense.

 

A career .220 hitter rotational player cannot average way below that and expect the team to go deep in the playoffs. His biggest weapon of offense right now is his bunt against a LHP. That is pathetic
