bluejaysinternNo5 Verified Member Posted June 10, 2023 Posted June 10, 2023 This is why you don't roll the dice with a rookie manager when you need to win asap. I don't care if you were grooming him in the minors for years.
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted June 10, 2023 Posted June 10, 2023 I really hope im wrong but I feel like we are going to look back at this series as one we completely botched and cost us a playoff spot.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted June 10, 2023 Posted June 10, 2023 2 run lead... take out Francis insert BP... lose, who'd have thunk it.
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted June 10, 2023 Posted June 10, 2023 Could have just left Francis in…instead he brings in their two worst arms. Wasting more arms AND taking the loss too. I just don’t get the constant overuse of our bullpen. Front office needs to get their f***ing act together because we are wasting good teams.
BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted June 10, 2023 Posted June 10, 2023 And they punt Bass to keep this DF in play... Bass was ass and no savior. All he had to do was leave Francis in given the way his stuff was looking. He gave up 1 but he was also getting whiffs and soft contact. Then go to Romano = W

Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted June 10, 2023 Posted June 10, 2023 I think this is what the front office wants. How can Schneider and Montoyo be making the exact same s*** moves? It has to be, no other logical answer.

I feel like you could say that about many series this year but that horrid divisional stretch probably takes the cake.

There are a handful of games that have stuck out for me so far that it’s hard to believe the Jays lost and its only June.
93 Jays Verified Member Posted June 10, 2023 Posted June 10, 2023 This is an outright laugh out loud calamity. You actually take out francis for cimber? REALLY?
Jays24 Old-Timey Member Posted June 10, 2023 Posted June 10, 2023 Please fire Atkins already. So sick of this nerd having 8 years with nothing to show for it. Then I'm putting Shapiro on the clock. They've had enough time here

Blue Jays Lurker 2023 Verified Member Posted June 10, 2023 Posted June 10, 2023 I have to say this again To see Schneider trying to be cute and comfortable sitting in the dugout with his legs crossed after a series win then reality sank in how he is far way a Manager to a team with contention aspiration. This is again on Atkins. This is not a rebuilding team, they have no exceptional prospects waiting in the minors. All that dried up. Half ass moves
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted June 10, 2023 Posted June 10, 2023 You can tell Buck is seething. I like that he disagrees.
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted June 10, 2023 Posted June 10, 2023 There are a handful of games that have stuck out for me so far that it’s hard to believe the Jays lost and its only June. It just feels like these types of games where you literally give it away are more memorable. 2 in a row too.
Chappythegoat Verified Member Posted June 10, 2023 Posted June 10, 2023 Got rid of a decent pitcher in bass so we can keep absolute junk like cimber, Garcia and white. What a joke this organization has become. Between this and all of the fat players on this team I’m almost ready to stop watching. Maybe this team should be moved to Utah so we don’t make decisions based on the feelings of soy degenerates.

glory Old-Timey Member Posted June 10, 2023 Posted June 10, 2023 Francis should have given them length. I’m not sure what the hell was the point of only using him for 2+ innings when he was stretched out reasonably well prior to being called up. It’s not Schneider as much as it is the front office but frustrating nonetheless. This definitely has 2021 vibes to it in terms of winnable games ending up costing the team a playoff spot, and I honestly wouldn’t even be mad. At least last time we could blame Buntoyo but it’s the front office pulling the strings so you kinda just have to hope the talent overcomes that.
Blue Jays Lurker 2023 Verified Member Posted June 10, 2023 Posted June 10, 2023 By the way, Belt is injured One of their best offensive players
BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted June 10, 2023 Posted June 10, 2023 Bass was better than both Cimber and Mitch White. You could make the case he’s probably better than Garcia as well. Bass had a couple decent outings man. Recency bias. He has been pretty s*** this year. It’s a red herring anyway. Just leave Francis in. No argument on White. Some on here have a lot of faith in his arm. I’ve never seen why.
Blue Jays Lurker 2023 Verified Member Posted June 10, 2023 Posted June 10, 2023 Chapman has his own problems tooÂ… The over analysis of his swings has made him the most inconsistent player of this team

Blue Jays Lurker 2023 Verified Member Posted June 10, 2023 Posted June 10, 2023 Talking about Bass is just finding an excuse, a meaningless low hanging fruit move Root cause, Atkins and his offseason moves from the Manager, the stupid trade for Varsho and his inability to address the bullpen

Just leave Francis in. No argument on White. Some on here have a lot of faith in his arm. I’ve never seen why. Not really recency bias he actually was fantastic last Season and had been good for the last month. The move was to leave in Francis for sure and I mentioned that several times. I just don’t think getting rid of Bass was the play especially when you replace him with Mitch White and guys like Cimber are pitching in his role.

We're really just arguing over which mediocre reliever is better when we should really be wondering why we have so many mediocre relievers anyway.

Blue Jays Lurker 2023 Verified Member Posted June 10, 2023 Posted June 10, 2023 Shortsighted excuse to talk about Bass This team have Bigger problems
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted June 10, 2023 Posted June 10, 2023 I still can't believe it. Francis was touching 98 and we took him out for tons of contact in Cimber. This Jays front office are living in an alternate reality.
