Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted May 20, 2023 Posted May 20, 2023 Just when he was starting to hit… damn bad luck for Espy there. Otto Lopez come on down!
Pinkfloid Verified Member Posted May 20, 2023 Posted May 20, 2023 Hahaha that was amazing Merrifield!!
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted May 20, 2023 Posted May 20, 2023 This inning is a roller coaster of emotions
max silver Old-Timey Member Posted May 20, 2023 Posted May 20, 2023 This inning is a roller coaster of emotions I was worried about a potential concussion given how much easier it is to get a second concussion after the initial one.
Carlos Danger Old-Timey Member Posted May 20, 2023 Posted May 20, 2023 As Spanky would say … bring it home birds! You realize we are playing the Orioles right- A bird..
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted May 20, 2023 Posted May 20, 2023 Damn if feels good to see Springer having a good game Offensively
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted May 20, 2023 Author Posted May 20, 2023 I was worried about a potential concussion given how much easier it is to get a second concussion after the initial one. I dont know if that would be worse or a sore neck/shoulder for Springer
Kordesi Verified Member Posted May 20, 2023 Posted May 20, 2023 Feel bad for Espy as he just started to get going. Hope it is not serious.
max silver Old-Timey Member Posted May 20, 2023 Posted May 20, 2023 I dont know if that would be worse or a sore neck/shoulder for Springer I'd take the neck/shoulder for sure given how many sporting careers we've seen ruined by concussions. They tend to become more severe with related occurrences.
Solaxys Old-Timey Member Posted May 20, 2023 Posted May 20, 2023 Was Manoah good or did Jano figure out how to make bad Manoah work?
Kordesi Verified Member Posted May 20, 2023 Posted May 20, 2023 Clutch - big guy! Just what we needed going into 8th and 9th
max silver Old-Timey Member Posted May 20, 2023 Posted May 20, 2023 Was Manoah good or did Jano figure out how to make bad Manoah work? I thought his pitches legitimately looked better. There were far fewer non competitive pitches and he dotted a lot of two seamers and four seamers effectively.

max silver Old-Timey Member Posted May 20, 2023 Posted May 20, 2023 Nice, that's reassuring. Hopefully, he can keep repeating it. He definitely had an early assist from the home plate umpire though. Early on his command was pretty scattershot and he was gifted a bunch of undeserved strike calls.
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted May 20, 2023 Author Posted May 20, 2023 Was Manoah good or did Jano figure out how to make bad Manoah work? Manoah was better in all regards today. Pitch mix may have been just having better fastball command, but he did throw much more fastballs today which was the complaint about Kirk (mine at least). Slider was sharper, but not great. Changeup was usable. Did a good job using the large strikezone and getting timely double play balls
