Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted May 13, 2023 Posted May 13, 2023 That looked like strike 3 Got him anyway.
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted May 13, 2023 Posted May 13, 2023 Extra runs just make everything easier

el duque Verified Member Posted May 13, 2023 Posted May 13, 2023 the 3 stars: 3) Merrifield, 2) Berrios, 1) Bichette
Omar Old-Timey Member Posted May 13, 2023 Posted May 13, 2023 Defense, stolen bases, timely hits, and the bailout by Swanson. Pretty dynamic win.
max silver Old-Timey Member Posted May 13, 2023 Posted May 13, 2023 Great first two games to start the series. Good pitching, good defence, scratching out runs, and running wild on the bases.
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted May 13, 2023 Posted May 13, 2023 the 3 stars: 3) Merrifield, 2) Berrios, 1) Bichette Keirmaier though?
el duque Verified Member Posted May 13, 2023 Posted May 13, 2023 Keirmaier though? you are right many shined today
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted May 13, 2023 Posted May 13, 2023 the 3 stars: 3) Merrifield, 2) Berrios, 1) Bichette Swap out Berrios for Kiermaier and we’re good.
max silver Old-Timey Member Posted May 13, 2023 Posted May 13, 2023 Seriously he’s the MVP today He's provided everything the team could have hoped for and then some. The elite defence is back, he's causing headaches for the opposition on the bases, he's providing a ton of spark from the bottom of the order, and he's bringing 80 grade handsomeness to the ballpark every day.

max silver Old-Timey Member Posted May 13, 2023 Posted May 13, 2023 Wish I could have watched this one Sounds like a great performance If you have a Sportsnet subscription (whether tv or online) you can catch the game well after it's finished.
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted May 13, 2023 Posted May 13, 2023 He and Bellinger were both gambles no doubt Kiermaier is outhitting Bellinger (141 wRC+ to 123) and Bellinger has turned back to his pumpkin-like ways since the beginning of May. Just wanted to point that out.

Just wanted to point that out. I'm sure you'll totally do the same when Kiermaier hits an inevitable slump and Bellinger heats up again.
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted May 13, 2023 Posted May 13, 2023 I'm sure you'll totally do the same when Kiermaier hits an inevitable slump and Bellinger heats up again. Define "heats up again". It seems like your 18 million dollar man has cut his K rate (that is also bottoming out in May) which should prevent him from being the worst hitter in baseball again but he's got career low exit velocities.

How is he my 18 million dollar man? If you go back you'll see I voted Kiermaier in the poll that you posted up during the offseason. Go bark up a different tree. Bellinger was legitimately getting great results in April and it wasn't a fluke. He's likely just been in a slump for the last week or so, but of course you are going to go and act like he's been bad the entire season.

My bad, I didn't know you were a man with such fine taste when it comes to free agent centerfield acquisitions. My apologies.

Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted May 14, 2023 Posted May 14, 2023 Signing Bellinger or Kiermaier would have been good moves. Just be thankful we didn’t sign Conforto.

spats Verified Member Posted May 14, 2023 Posted May 14, 2023 I think it's time for Vladdy to grow up and ditch the ice bath. It seems like the players would agree judging by Kiermaier's reaction today.
WryNGinger Verified Member Posted May 14, 2023 Posted May 14, 2023 Keirmaier though? Sucks we only signed him for 1 year. Imagine if he goes back to Tampa next year and we hate him again? 😅
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted May 14, 2023 Posted May 14, 2023 Sucks we only signed him for 1 year. Imagine if he goes back to Tampa next year and we hate him again? In retrospect 1 year plus a club option would have been ideal But no one knew

Laika Community Moderator Posted May 14, 2023 Posted May 14, 2023 My cousin is married to a girl who gets her nails done with a gay guy who knows a lot of the WAGs Apparently all the players hate the ice bath too. They just feel too powerless and shy to say anything about it. They are waiting for enough people to post about the ice bath online and say that it looks like they hate it from their body language etc. and they are all hoping that if enough people say "everyone is sick of Vladdys ice bath" then one day he will notice and stop.
