I like him. But he ran his starters into the ground and used the pen for one and a third innings. No expert at managing the pen. Tom Kelly from the Twins though wasn't bad. Different era I guess.

John was actually having a good game before his decision to not just start the 8th with Swanson. Richards had done his job. I don't like a reliever sitting twice between half innings. Especially ones that haven't done it in a long time.

Yeah not a big fan of Richards sitting twice between half innings. He did his job striking out the side against the meat of the order. 1.1 innings for him was good enough. Should have went with Swanson or heck even Bass haha to start that inning.
