Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted April 30, 2023 Posted April 30, 2023 I worry about Teo today. Feel like he's gonna get a hold of one
Sammy225 Old-Timey Member Posted April 30, 2023 Posted April 30, 2023 I worry about Teo today. Feel like he's gonna get a hold of one Apparently just keep throwing him breaking balls. He has not looked good against off speed

Pendleton Old-Timey Member Posted April 30, 2023 Author Posted April 30, 2023 Less than two hours to game time and no lineup posted by the M's. Perhaps waiting until the last minute to make a call on whether JRod is good to go?

Solaxys Old-Timey Member Posted April 30, 2023 Posted April 30, 2023 Not been announced as a move yet but Taylor Trammell is in Mariners' clubhouse.
Pendleton Old-Timey Member Posted April 30, 2023 Author Posted April 30, 2023 yes, possibly a game time decision Seems the case based on what this M's reporter is saying
Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted April 30, 2023 Posted April 30, 2023 Not been announced as a move yet but Taylor Trammell is in Mariners' clubhouse. The sole question is probably whether J-Rod can DH or not
JaysAllMighty Old-Timey Member Posted April 30, 2023 Posted April 30, 2023 I worry about Teo today. Feel like he's gonna get a hold of one I very much doubt it, Bassitt has so many pitches he will be easily fooled.
Pendleton Old-Timey Member Posted April 30, 2023 Author Posted April 30, 2023 No JRod today according to this Mariners beat writer, possibly no Ty France as well. Trammell is indeed going to be playing

Perhaps waiting until the last minute to make a call on whether JRod is good to go? Mariners swap starters on the day of for the express purpose of messing with the Jays and not putting out a lineup until the next game starts. You almost never see that, especially in April. They always put out a lineup and then change it. It would be interesting to ask a baseball person if this is some kind of gamesmanship or breach of baseball etiquette. Maybe it doesn't matter at all, it's just unusual.

Yeah I'm curious if there's an official rule or maybe an unspoken one, regarding when you should have your lineup set. Really not sure, but it seems to be causing more unrest in their own fanbase (search for Mariners lineup on twitter) than anything. Lots of pissed off Mariners fans right now, we might be the tipping point for two fanbases in a row if this one goes our way.

Really not sure, but it seems to be causing more unrest in their own fanbase (from looking at twitter) than anything. Lots of pissed off Mariners fans right now, we might be the tipping point for two fanbases in a row if this one goes our way. I would love to hear a Mariners call in the model of that White Sox rant. They have more material to work with than any other fanbase so it could be good.
Solaxys Old-Timey Member Posted April 30, 2023 Posted April 30, 2023 Easton McGee placed on IL for Right Forearm Strain. Dude really gave it all against us.
L54 Old-Timey Member Posted April 30, 2023 Posted April 30, 2023 Easton McGee placed on IL for Right Forearm Strain. Dude really gave it all against us. Major league money! Good for him
L54 Old-Timey Member Posted April 30, 2023 Posted April 30, 2023 Man that M’s lineup is pretty terrible. Swanny out WAR’ing Teo
Grant77 Old-Timey Member Posted April 30, 2023 Posted April 30, 2023 Taking two of the five above average hitters out of a lineup that leads the league in K% and has a 91 wRC+ bodes well for Bassitt. Seattle hitting .195/.271/.334 for a 74 wRC+ and >30 K% since April 16th.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted April 30, 2023 Posted April 30, 2023 Jays need to score runs today. Won't have Romano or Swanson available out of the pen later. They both pitched back to back days in his high leverage situations.

Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted April 30, 2023 Posted April 30, 2023 I very much doubt it, Bassitt has so many pitches he will be easily fooled. That makes sense in theory and I'm gonna hope it plays out exactly like that
Jays24 Old-Timey Member Posted April 30, 2023 Posted April 30, 2023 You think that will stop the Schneids? Think again. Bassitt could be putting up a perfect game through 7 innings on 60 pitches and this management will opt for the bullpen lol
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted April 30, 2023 Posted April 30, 2023 You think that will stop the Schneids? Think again. I mean it should not trying to get relievers injured in April games. Jays typically have not used relievers in 3 straight days.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted April 30, 2023 Posted April 30, 2023 We can’t get robo umps fast enough.
Solaxys Old-Timey Member Posted April 30, 2023 Posted April 30, 2023 omfg. How many Ks does Bassitt need to get?!
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted April 30, 2023 Posted April 30, 2023 2 strikeouts taken away by the ump…inside corner is just not there against lefties
