We just need to get more Kevin's on the team - Pillar, Gausman, Kiermaier.

I'm cool with 2/3 LOL

Normally I'd be pissed at that fan, but it was clearly headed over the fence either way for a ground rulel double even if he didnt catch it

That looked like it would have gone out of play, but hard to tell with the idiot reaching for the ball. Kick him out anyway.

That seems like going out of play anyway

Yeah

Pretty, sure it was going out of play no matter what

Hard to say, looked close. Either way people shouldn’t ever be reaching over the field of play

Vlad should just guess offspeed vs the Rays...cause they aren't throwing him a fastball unless its a last resort id guess

I think he was sitting on it, but just smoked it into the ground becasue it was a good one rather than a hanger. He just gets sooooo eager to hit everything when there are runners on he wants to hit everything instead of waiting for his pitch

They really need to crack down on this. Unacceptable

They really need to. Fan education is important. Lots of casual fans coming out as well that act like f***ing idiots at games.

Its bad parenting as well.

He is missing his fastball spots.

But then again, who cares when Rays don't know wtf is coming lol.

It’s irrelevant what was going to happen. Don’t reach your glove into the playing field. Its not hard. If you can afford those seats you can afford an 8 dollar Baseball from the store.

Just thinking, with all of the changes, has anyone seen a pitcher waiving off a catcher's pitch call? I mean anywhere?

Mayza has once or twice, so far.

Pretty infrequent though

Yeah, he was just out in front on that low cutter. Wasn't a bad pitch to hit, but he hasn't had great timing on breaking stuff yet...since he is hitting like 0.620 on fastballs he will be getting much more offspeed vs good teams. I think he gets locked in on them soon
