Solaxys Old-Timey Member Posted April 15, 2023 Posted April 15, 2023 The hit and run f***ed up a run for us. Schneider please, look who is batting before you call that.
Jarry Verified Member Posted April 15, 2023 Posted April 15, 2023 Tampa gaining momentum in this game
The_DH Verified Member Posted April 15, 2023 Posted April 15, 2023 bad umpire involving himself in that KK stolen base attempt. Should have waited until the play was finished and then called the violation. This is a way to get a stolen base cancelled.
Solaxys Old-Timey Member Posted April 15, 2023 Posted April 15, 2023 That makes no sense though. So if a base is stolen, the pitcher can just not pitch and induce a violation to negate the steal? Wtf.
The_DH Verified Member Posted April 15, 2023 Posted April 15, 2023 and while Belt is my least favorite player, KK is quickly moving up to my favorite.
Solaxys Old-Timey Member Posted April 15, 2023 Posted April 15, 2023 Tampa You mean getting lucky? Ya. Now stop blowing them, thanks mate.
DigitalRock Old-Timey Member Posted April 15, 2023 Posted April 15, 2023 That makes no sense though. So if a base is stolen, the pitcher can just not pitch and induce a violation to negate the steal? Wtf. It looked like he started his delivery before it went to zero too
Jarry Verified Member Posted April 15, 2023 Posted April 15, 2023 This could be the big inning for the rays
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted April 15, 2023 Posted April 15, 2023 This should almost be a situation like football penalties, where the team can decline the pitch clock violation. I think it would depend on the situation and the timing of when the runner took off. If he was clearly well,on the way down the line…agreed. If it was like him just taking off when the timer hit zero…I don’t see how you’d be able to award the base if you have to call the play dead due to a violation. It generates an interesting scenario where if a runner really catches the pitcher napping and gets a massive jump but the timer is at like…2… the pitcher could just hold the ball to get annintentional violation and negate the stolen base.
DigitalRock Old-Timey Member Posted April 15, 2023 Posted April 15, 2023 This could be the big inning for the rays You could be a moron as well
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 15, 2023 Posted April 15, 2023 That makes no sense though. So if a base is stolen, the pitcher can just not pitch and induce a violation to negate the steal? Wtf. That's why they should do want Grant brought up, would make sense.
DigitalRock Old-Timey Member Posted April 15, 2023 Posted April 15, 2023 Berrios has been fire tonight

Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted April 15, 2023 Posted April 15, 2023 This could be the big inning for the rays It must suck to be you.
Solaxys Old-Timey Member Posted April 15, 2023 Posted April 15, 2023 These Rays love hitting our pitchers' feet. Gausman last year and now Berrios
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted April 15, 2023 Posted April 15, 2023 Getting 5 innings from Berrios of 1-run ball was not expected so I will certainly take it.
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted April 15, 2023 Posted April 15, 2023 Berrios looked hurt going down the steps
RobinThicc Verified Member Posted April 15, 2023 Posted April 15, 2023 Damn, hopefully Berrios isnt done

G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted April 15, 2023 Author Posted April 15, 2023 Probably we let Berrios take the rest of the day off 5 excellent innings
Omar Old-Timey Member Posted April 15, 2023 Posted April 15, 2023 Yeah...I'm still dubious. Let him get five under his belt. Baby steps.
