The DDL is many years past the prestigious stage. Good to have fond memories though. LOD is simply more time consuming and a different format with 30 teams. Nothing special about it.

BORED is definitely a fun league, pretty much identical to the DDL.

 

LOD is on such a different level. Definitely more challenging and every roster piece counts. You're making tough decisions on end of roster guys when it comes to dropping someone.

It’s another level of commitment for sure. I don’t necessarily think any of the guys are more skilled than other leagues. It’s just a matter of enjoying that format and paying attention to a much deeper roster

LoD is the pinnacle of all fantasy baseball.

 

It's more grueling and demanding than most of these LARP paid leagues like the NFBC. f***ing 12 team 5x5 noobs.

 

I wish there was good fantasy content for deeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep leagues considering advanced stats like wOBA

I almost added Robert Stock because I saw on Twitter that he changed from 4 seam to sinker and the metrics on the pitch are great according to some nerds that are telling him what to throw in a garage somewhere.

 

And then the Brewers signed him! But I don't want to cut this 24 year old in the complex league so I couldn't add him.

People somewhat frequently add KBO and JPN players with prior MLB experience, on pure speculation that they might come back

 

There are 19 year old prospects with 40% k rates in the low minors that owners will literally hold through the draft because Ben Badler said 14 months ago that they had 60 raw power and 50 speed

 

Every pitcher starting games is owned, up to their retirement or move overseas. Erick Fedde for example was probably started 20+ times last year.

Even before dropping an end of roster player, you need to sit and make a tough decision on those guys. Like for example if I need to drop someone, I'm debating between dropping Jimmy Lambert or Daniel Norris or Kolby Allard. They all suck, but Lambert and Norris both have SP eligibility and if one makes the team after ST, they could contribute. Allard is still only 25 and who knows if he turns his career around out of the BP with Atlanta.
