With all the Ozempic and Rybelsus ads on the broadcasts they should be able to throw in a few free doses for the Blue Jays.

Get Manoah, Kirk and Vladdy on the stuff now and see how they look next spring.

I don't think Ozempic is for diabetics but Rybelsus is.

Both are for diabetes.

Yah people also use it for weight loss. It was a huge problem in the states (not sure if it is anymore), all the fat f***s who are too lazy to exercise and not eat Mcdicks 6 times a week were using all the Ozempic, there wasn't enough supply for the Diabetes people who actually needed it.

They're actually about as identical as it gets. Both made by the saem company, same active ingredient, just one is injected, the other is a pill.

Bingo, it'a also why the commercials are identical.

Wow, shooting insulin for weight loss is dumb as f***. lol

And viagra was originally for hypertension.

They are weight loss drugs. Appetite suppressants. And it is actually pretty interesting how effective they seem to be. I think they are going to continue to explode in popularity.

Rebelsys and Ozempic both lower blood sugar for diabetics and have a weight loss benefit for anyone who takes them.

Ozempic in particular has been prescribed a lot for weight loss in non-diabetics, even though its not officially "approved" for weight loss. Rebelsys is newer but will likely be very popular for weight loss too.

Biggest difference is Rebelsys is a pill while Ozempic is given by weekly injection.

Diabetes treatment has really come along way...

Insulin controls blood sugar of course but causes weight gain so it kinda sucks for Type 2 diabetics because most are already overweight... All these new drugs are better. (Victoza, Jardiance, Ozempic, Rebelsys, Forxiga, etc...)

as someone heading into the Nutrition field (justwaiting to hear bck from Uni on admission - fingers crossed) and a Type 2 diabetic.... these drugs should absolutely NOT be used specifically for weight loss except in cases where a person's BMI is to the point where either this or surgery are the only options left.

Explanation - the function not only as appetite suppressants, but also activate a hormone that stimulates the release of insulin into the bloodstream, while at the same time, telling the liver to slow down gluconeogenesis. In theory, this would be a good thing short term and probably is, but long term ... appetite suppression is not the way you want to lose weight ideally because you end up chronically deficient in calories, and by extension can end up deficient in vitamins, minerals and other things. While many obese people definiely do need to reduce calories, that should be a short term goal. Also, flooding your body with insulin on a regular basis if you're overweight but not yet insulin resistant or have type 2 diabetes... you're running a high risk of hypoglycemia, which is never good.

I could go into more detail here, but suffice to say that the better way to lose weight is to increase your output, not decrease your input. Taking shortcuts is going to cause more problems

I was thinking of this myself, dangerous game using it for weight loss. GSnarls says it's subscribed for weight loss so I guess it is as he works in the field.

LIke isaid, if it's down to the point where it's that or surgery, sure. But for people wanting to take shortcuts that aren't in a medical weight loss crisis, not a good idea.

It's just the world we live in. Social media has given the population the ability to comment on literally anything they want, anytime they want. The fact that it's so easy to agree/disagree with anything under the sun makes people think they should, and thus, they do. Couple that with most people thinking they are authorities on things that they have less than no knowledge of... and here we are.

I mean, all he did in this case was post someone else's content with no comment, supporting boycotts of companies who either openly hate their traditional consumer base, or are marketing transgender crap to little kids. I have this real sneaking suspicion that there's be no outrage if he decided to support a Chick-Fil-A boycott because they are religious or whatever. We must protect the holy transes.

I wish he'd just have shut his stupid face if he was going to apologize. What a weak coward.

First 5 star catch??? Man, if taking away a HR that's over the wall that needs a perfectly timed jump and hang isnt also a 5 star...

statcast doesn't account for VERTICAL difficulty

Interesting. though i guess some of the offensive numbers also don't account for spray angle, just launch angle also.

I feel like he made catches as difficult as this for Tampa. Or at least nearly as difficult with some regularity. He owned the OF highlight reels most seasons.

No matter what it was absolutely amazing and who know what happens of he doesn't catch it.

Kiermaier CF + Springer RF >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Springer CF + Teo RF

That trade is looking like and easy win so far.

The OF defense is dramatically improved

The offense is missing the Teo and LGJ bats though... Wouldn't be as noticeable if so many hitters weren't underperforming

Teo's OPS would be 2nd lowest on the team it only beats Varsho by .019.

LGJ would have helped in May, but his April was trash. We've seen this from him before. Last year he had a OPS of .905 in July, but then .572 in August.

Teoscar has sucked so far, Varsho has been about as good. Lourdes is the only guy thats been missed in the lineup right now.

But end of the day, the offense is fine and still top 5 in the league. Pitching has been the problem.
