Yup, we have seen this movie before. Then the team starts traveling and clubhouse buffets, stop over at Abuelas house etc….

 

I do think if he goes into camp like that, he should have a strong start of the season with the bat.

Pretty sure he went there because Texas offered the extra year, which we weren't willing to. And honestly, most thought the Rangers overpaid for both Semien and Seager but it clearly worked out for them.

I don't think Vlad has ever shared photos of himself in this kind of shape. This is also his first offseason exclusively training in Florida as well.

So time to shift our attention to Teo, Chapman and the best DH on the market? Rather spend there than get suckered into a 200M deal for a wildly inconsistent player that I'd love only on a cheaper deal.

Forget Bellinger.

 

Trade for Yelich, who is owed 5 x 26 mill.

 

Milwaukee would probably eat 30 mill, bringing him down to 5 years 100 million. We toss them a C prospect. Or we get them to attach Burnes and we assume the entire contract.

 

His career low OPS is .736, so he has a much higher floor than Bellinger. No crazy 10 year committment.
