Alek Manoah showing he might still have it. I certainly had loads of doubt.

So... We might actually have 6 usable SP's after all

What a fantastic "problem" to have

I don’t believe that Ryu is going to be useable or really give them a reason to use a 6 man past this couple rotations through. He is not better than any of the other 5 if Manoah is going to go like this.

Varsho is nearing Bradley Zimmer country, so his ass will/should be coming off the bench. If Varsho starts one game this series, it'll continue to show and prove the incompetence of management.

Varsho made a nice catch and hit a home run tonight so good think the front office basically does the opposite of what Gruber wants.

No guarantees

Looking forward to 2-3 starts to see

I would like to see Manoah do it a couple more times before declaring he's back. Tonight was definitely encouraging though. If Manoah can right the ship, definitely puts the Jays in a better position down the stretch and in the Postseason.

Manoah's definitely been a bit of a mixed bag since his return. There have been some really nice starts, such as the dominating start against the Tigers and the start against the Angels where he was in cruise control until the intentional walk, mixed in with a pretty decent start against the Red Sox but combined with a weak start against the Mariners and an absolute stinker against the Padres. His ERA is ok'ish since returning but the stuff has been pretty mediocre and the command hit and miss from start to start, so who knows what to expect moving forward.

Loved Schneiders debut, 2-5 with a single and HR.

What’s interesting about that…. He could do that every single game over an entire season, finish with 364 hits and 162 HRs…and would still have a lower OPS at the end of the season than Bonds’ OPS in 2004.

I wonder what type of prospect haul they turned down for less than a weeks worth of a playoff push.

Besides the prospects they had to give up to get players for the weeks push starting with Quero, one of their top prospects and 2 others in the top 10.

Embarrassing organization and the people that praised them for “going for it” should be ashamed

The Angels are a disaster.

Unless they know something we don't and are going to resign Ohtani, which is possible not probable, and one of his conditions was they add, it makes zero sense at all adding and not unloading him. Look at the price for a semi good SP in Giolito rental. Imagine what the Angels could have gotten the other way for 2 months of Ohtani.

All this narrative about "who wants to be the owner/GM who traded Ohtani?" is dumb IMO. We heard the same ******** about Soto last year. Nobody cares over time. Especially if you win. Id say the same about what we will face with Bo/Vlad maybe as early as the end of July next year. Its all about performance. BAL fans are over their franchise disdain now and are filling the park and leaning into hacking us in the Hangout. Which blows BTW.

Pretty underwhelming deadline for them though. I guess we’ll see what happens in the off-season as to how they plan to make additions

Joseph Gordan Levitt needs the Angels to win the Pennant.

After watching Ramirez nail Anderson it makes me wish we could have lured him even more. The deal he signed with CLE is incredible team value.

Seems like he really wanted to stay in CLE

He took their max offer to stay, they lucked out, the guy just loves to play ball and not disrupt his family life, I really respect that guy.

He is a SH WAR machine.

Jose Ramirez is guy this board was in love with for a long time. He's the exactly the type of player you want on your team. And he signed that sweetheart deal to stay in Cleveland because that's all they can afford. He's severely underpaid but he is quite the guy.

This bullpen is f'n good

Yup. It’s taken a while to shake out but they’ve put together a really good and deep pen

I am confused. What is there to like in Cleveland? The local 711?

It’s actually one of the most resurgent cities in the US. It used to have a well deserved reputation for being a shithole, but in the past 10ish years it’s been a real dramatic turnaround. It’s almost vibrant
